We stayed one night in this historical hotel. This is a lovely property and I am sure was at one time a fabulous resort. The room that we had was reasonable size with a lovely balcony. the "bathroom" was interesting, a very small shower and a toilet behind a curtain. However, the Frau that runs the hotel is the granddaughter of the owner after the war and she is a little dynamo at 75. The hotel is in a fabulous location (it is actually right down the hill from the huge, expensive Intercontinental) a stones throw from the foundations of Hitler's home and within walking distance from the buses that go to Eagles nest. The view is stunning and the breakfast is wonderful. I hope that people patronize this hotel as it would be a shame to lose such an historical place to the likes of the Intercontinental!
