“Amazing modern hotel in Frankfurt”

Innside Premium Frankfurt Niederrad

The Innside hotel is a uber modern hotel in a business district outside Frankfurt. Perfectly suited to business people, but as tourists with a car, it suited us fine.

It's space-theme modernist decor is stunning, and although the rooms are small (like most hotels in Europe) the ingenious use of the space is spectacular.

Service is perfectly Germanic, and everything works. We love travelling in Germany for the same reasons we buy German cars, everything works as it should. Perhaps that's why British hotels are erratic and rusty; Japanese hotels are clever but tiny, American hotels are flashy and poorly assembled......

The Innside hotels we've stayed in certainly reinforce this line of thought.

“Worth a trip to Frankfurt just for the hotel”

Innside Premium Frankfurt Niederrad

Best hotel I've ever stayed in. An expensive hotel, very chic and modern, but at a bargain price - $75 a night excluding breakfast, on the weekend. The taxi ride from the airport was 18 Euros and the subway ride back was 3.90 Euros directly to the aiport terminal 2 from 2 blocks from the hotel. The subway system was a great way to get into the city proper or the Haupbahnhof from the hotel at a minimum of effort and price. The room was superior in everyway and the staff helpful. The bar was great at night, and the area was quiet as it is really the business section with no residences within a two block radius. We tried the breakfast buffet one morning (30 Euros for 2 of us) and it was fairly sumptuous in the German manner (meat, meat, meat). And the fitness center - though no pool - was fantastic. Sauna, steam room, some fitness equipment, great showers, and a massage area or just a lounge. Makes a trip to Frankfurt worthwhile.

“Worth the Effort”

Innside Premium Frankfurt Niederrad

I needed a convenient hotel for a long layover between Lufthansa and Condor. I just wanted some place convenient to the FRA airport and a reasonable rate. Since I was traveling as a 'single' and only 18 hours in the city, I wasn't interested in seeing the sights. Innside Hotel was the right answer for me. However, I forgot my confirmation sheet and had a horrible time trying to find the location from the airport info desk to give to the taxi driver (my stupid fault). But it was well worth it! Lovely quiet hotel with stellar design. I wouldn't recommend it for a family or even a couple since the room is fairly compact (i.e., small). The bathroom/shower is part of the bedroom - open concept. Toilet is in small type closet. Location would be horrible for sight seeing but would be fantastic for a business traveler with business in that location. I walked about two blocks and found a great yuppie high-end grocery store. Bought all sorts of sausages, wine and goodies and had a picnic in my room! Oh, I only paid 75 Euros/night but I think it was a 'weekend' rate. I tried to get the same rate for my return flight and it was considerably higher!!!

Great business hotel. Excellent sleek design for the rooms and furniture, a choice of magazines in the room, the famous fully-transparent shower within the room. Also the breakfast offers a great choice of good German breads and various other delicacies. No reason to go to Niederrad for a vacation, but if you have to be there for business, this hotel is a good choice.

“Stunning and really cutting edge”

Innside Premium Frankfurt Niederrad

I had seen this Hotel advertised and wanted to find out what it is all about- and the reviews om tripadisor.com were also very good.
The location of this Hotel is in Frankfurt Niederrad- basically an enclave with huge office buildings. Thus after 5pm it is very quiet and almost deserted in the area. For me personally this was a big selling point as I could be sure it would be quiet.
You can easily get to downtown Frankfurt -there is an S-Bahn (subway) station about 10 min walk from the hotel which takes you to the Hauptbahnhof station in less than 5 min- or if you need to get to the airport go in the other direction and you arrive at the lower level train station at FRA airport in about 10 min-however not recommended if you have more luggage than maybe a rollaboard bag.If you use this hotel as a stopover, larger luggage can be left ant the left-luggage ("Gepaeckaubewahrung") at the airport for a quite reasonable rate of only 4 Euro for 24 hours-just make sure you use the left- luggage location that is open 24 hrs as there are several different locations-all with slightly different opening times. The location on the arrival level Terminal 1 area B is open 24 hours.
Anyway getting back to the hotel,it was so stunning for a German hotel -very high tech and the room was a dream- I travel quite a bit-but I have never seen anything that comes close to the feeling in the room.
On arrival the check-in was completed in less than 1 minute- the clerk very friendly and helpful, asking about any requests I might have etc.The lobby is hard to describe-it is an atrium with concrete walls and a colorful neon light design-very cool.
WI-FI access in the public areas is free and the rooms have high speed DSL-if you forget to bring a DSL cable (as I did) the front desk will borrow one to you free of charge.
The room itself feels very "crisp" and has floor to ceiling windows.
The shower is all glass and basically part of the room.Very nice bathroom space and good free toiletries.Plenty of thick comfy towels. The toilet is in a seperated room- so if two people travel together no problem.
It is not very common in Germany, but the room had an adjustable Air condition .The drinks from the mini bar are free ( bottled water, soft drinks, and of course german beer).
The bed was huge for german standards (probably comparable to a Queen size in the US)- plenty of soft pillows and a duvet. The TV is an LCD flat screen (could have been a bit larger though) with a good choice of domestic and international channels .
As I had an early flight out of FRA I requested a wakeup call which came right on time from a real person- and he was very cheerful.
All in all this hotel may not be the right choice for those who want to be right in the middle of the action when they step out of the hotel, but for anyone else that is doing business or just has a long layover it is really right on the money.
They also have a wellness center with aromatherapy saunas but I did not have the time to check them out. Also, there is a restaurant which going with the theme of this hotel serves unusual (non-traditional) but tasty dishes.
I cannot wait to stay there again-it is really an experience....
