This was our fourth visit to this hotel and it's the ideal location for short breaks as it's very close to the airport. The hotel is spotless and the owner takes pride in her presentation of her hotel. Iride is quite a charactor an makes you very welcome as does her lovely dog 'Argos'. He only adds to the atmospher of the place he is very friendly and not scarry as previously stated by other guests. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to see lovely Sardinia however a car is a must. Tony and I will be going back again very soon hopefully well done Iride and thank you for some lovely meals and times spent together.

we wanted a chill out get away from it all long weekend and we were not disappointed. this hotel is small,spotlessly clean, in beautiful grounds and with superb staff . the owners cooking is wonderful. the doberman who is mentioned in other reports is an absolute darling and is very well trained. we were sad to leave this little jewel of a property but hopefully we will return before we move to australia

The stay was OK until the last day when we went back to pick up our bags. We thought we could take a swim in the pool before we left so we did. Then the lady came running and screamed to us "get out of the pool!" She was very angry and wanted us to pay for taking a swim!

This is a small 13 room spotlessly clean hotel set in a large garden with tennis courts and a good sized pool.
Proximity to the airport was a concern but with only a few flights per day and none after 11pm we should not have worried. The advantage of being close to the airport is a very short drive in the dark if you use Ryanair from EMA.
A car is essential not just for a stay at Light Blue but if you really want to see Sardinia it is the best way to see the sights. There are lovely coastal villages and beaches, and a drive inland reveals spectacular scenery.
On arrival you are confronted with an electric gate but a toot of the horn soon gains entry, you then have your own remote control for the duration of your stay.
The room we stayed in was comfortable with full en suite facilities. Air conditioning was available at an extra cost if you need it.
Iride, the owner, is a delightful host and speaks better English than she will admit to.
She made us most welcome and was very helpful.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the availability of an evening meal was a bit confusing. I suspect Iride would provide a meal any time if asked in advance. As it was she told us she would be preparing a fish dinner on one evening if we would like to book a place in advance at the cost of €30 per head. We booked 2 places and had the most superb meal and excellent value. Iride was only too happy to tell us what the various types of fish were and how she had prepared them. Don’t miss dinner at the Light Blue.
Argos the Doberman dog looks intimidating but is really a big softy – watch out for his escape bids as you return through the electric gate at night!
The Light Blue is ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday and is far enough away from the bars and clubs of Alghero. We loved it.
