we spent two weeks in Europe for a fall break and through all the hotels we stayed in this hotel was among the best. On the arrival day it was my wife's birthday and they put a special gift in the room when we arrived. Plus we tried the fabulous Onice restaurant - by the way worth it!!!! - and the chef came out with a birthday cake and all the staff gathered around us and it was really a nice suprise! the staff was always very kind. I must say that the standard rooms are not that huge, so would reccomend to book at least a deluxe room. But still the room was very clean and Firenze is amazing!!!! Absolutely worth every eurocent we spent!!!! Will go back again!

We stayed at Villa La Vedetta for a couple of nights in October. We chosen Villa La Vedetta becuase my husband discovered this beautiful villa into a brochure of Italian luxury hotels and we very appreciated this oasis of luxury, comfort and graciousness. The reception staff was extremely helpful and efficient and served us with a genuine smile as if we were the only guests in the hotel. The room assigned us was......... wonderful!! Very high ceilings and beautiful furniture and fabrics. The view on the exclusive garden was terrific! Furthemore, my husband has really appreciated the free wi-fi connection: he worked with his laptop in an elegant living room with fireplace! The first night we had dinner at Onice, the restaurant inside the hotel. It is top-notch and the courses was the best food we had in Italy. The restaurant has a Michelin Star, so you do pay for the quality!!

Stayed here for our wedding 9/2/07 - 9/5/07 -- the ceremony, the room, the food, EVERYTHING was incredible!! We couldn't have asked for it to be more perfect. We would definitely go back! Love the location (not a bad walk at all to the city center, if you don't mind the walk uphill on the way back), the view from the hotel is incredible, and it is nice & quiet, very relaxing. The event coordinator, Carolina, is the BEST!! She handled everything for the wedding superbly. We absolutely loved Florence and this hotel!!

We stayed at La Vedetta for three nights and found it absolutely wonderful. The pool area was so relaxing, (especially on a hot summers day after shopping), the staff were excellent and great with our 3 year old, the restuarant is extremely good - but it is expensive (a Michelin Star from memory) - but just up the road are casual pizza places in the Plaza overlooking the city - the views from the hotel terraces and pool are stunning. And the room was also great. Promixity to the city was fine as the hotel shuttle service dropped us off and picked us up when we called. Would definitely stay here again.
