This is a charming hotel, comfortable, convenient, and with surprising theme decor. Lovely service people at reception and at breakfast. Mini-bar refrigerator, safe, and fans upon request. However, the property has been purchased for development by a large company and the hotel will close in December. So if you're traveling to Basel in 2006, book it now.

We have been there twice over the years and the friendly and helpful people there were terrific. We also had our wedding luncheon at the Drachen and everyone that was there still rave about the hotel..
