Just returned from 2 nights at this hotel on a week-long trip through central Switzerland. Hotel is listed as 3 star but it is much nicer than any other 3 star hotel I have stayed at! Rooms are very clean and spacious, bright colors, and new furniture. Not to mention the view from the patio/balcony! Breakfast buffet is adequate. Staff was very pleasant, spoke English well. Also, the hotel is just at the entrance to Grindelwald, so is not noisy at all, but is just five minute walk to shops/restaurants/cable cars. Very convenient. Will definitely return next time in Grindelwald.

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic weekend at the Hotel Cabana in Grindelwald.

Our criteria was to find a family-run chalet, with traditional swiss charm that offered a great location without breaking the bank.

What we got with the Cabana far exceeded our expectations! The view was, quite simply, stunning. In all my years of travelling this was simply unbeatable. All rooms are south facing with balconies or private patios, and due to Grindelwalds location all have a view over a luch green valley surrounded my snow-capped mountains on all sides.

All rooms are clean and comfortable and spacious, with mini bar and cable TV. The hotel also has internet terminals and wireless capability.

The breakfast was simply superb! A sumptious spread of wonderful swiss goodies, all served with extra touch of loving care you only get with a family that is obviously takes a pride in the business.

When you consider the fact that this hotel is a 3 star plus, it really is the icing on the cake. The weekend offered us fantastic value for money, and the entire experience really did put so many other more reputed 4 star hotel chains to shame!

This is the 3rd time I stay at Hotel Garni Cabana in the wonderful Grindelwald. It is a very quiet location with magnificent panorama. Located only 5 minutes walk from village center and shops. The rooms are very comfortable, extremely clean, big balconies, minibar, Cable TV and nice tube bathroom. The buffet breakfast is excellent for all tastes. Mrs. Bettina is a very nice person, extremely helpful. She speaks fluent english. Spent 10 delightful nights and will return again and again. The hotel has its own parking (included in room price).

Staff was very friendly and helpful, cheerfully warm and welcoming. The south facing rooms have a superb view. Our double room was spacious and clean. Only negative is that it’s located on one of the main roads leading into town and the road can become a little busy during the high season. The big positive is that the hotel has a parking lot and the location is easily accessible by both car and train travelers.
