The museum is most enjoyed with the assistance of a formal tour. I happened to walk in at the right time and learned much about the details of this building. Details being critical. The mistake I made was not bringing my map, but I discovered more of the neighborhood than if I took a direct route. Enjoy. Visit other Horta designed buildings which are listed in most reputable tour books. The Comic Strip Museum is a great example and has a small exhibit about the creation and restoration of that building.

If you enjoy Art Nouveau furnishings and architecture, then the Horta Museum is a must-see. Formerly the designer's home and office, it is one of the few remaining examples of this style where visitors are welcome to enter. The neighborhood is sadly rundown but still seems safe.
