“Do not even think of another hotel”

Hotel Fevery

5 of 5 stars
Budapest
Jul 13, 2008

We spent 5 nights in this hotel as two couples, so we booked two double rooms. My first impression of the hotel came when I made the booking via phone. Paul, the owner, was extremely helpful, flexible and polite.
When we arrived to the hotel he greeted me on my name what is also polite that he remembered.
The rooms he offered was clean, comfortable, well equipped. There is always parking places around the hotel but Paul gave us a closed, secured (not that you need it in Brugges, but still better) parking. When we asked to leave the parking place he was running there with the key to open ... what a service.
Paul was very-very nice as he gave us good tips of trips, he even made hand.drawing of the map of Antwerp. Thank you.
The breakfast is enough, the service is good. A juice-machine would be a benefit, but Paul serves drink when you ask.
So, do not even think of going anywhere else, you will enjoy this hotel and its location too.

“Above and Beyond”

The owner of the Hotel Fevery in Brugge made our stay even more wonderful than we anticiapated. It began when Paul (owner of the hotel) when he drove to the center of town and personally led us to the hotel. We rented a car and could not locate his hotel as our GPS was not working well in Belgium. We called him when we were about an hour away and he told us to meet us in the middle of town. It was 11:00 at night.

The hotel is about five minutes walk to the center of town and the breakfast was great. Great place to stay in Brugge paul@hotelfevery.be

“Clean, quiet, travel advice, gated parking, great value”

Hotel Fevery

Jul 10, 2008

We found The Fevery by walking around (in a part of town the official information people told us was very quiet - and it was).

We thought the hotel was a great value:
- very clean room
- full and modern bathroom in the room
- elevator takes you most of the way (still had 1/2 flight to navigate)
- parking in a secure gated area off the street
- breakfast was great; boiled-to-order eggs were a treat
- helpful travel advice, and a discount card for the museums
- a computer our son could use to browse for the first time on our trip
- close enough to walk to restaurants
- ground floor sitting room to read and relax in
- all we heard from the street were birds and church bells
- We didn't buy tea, etc. in the sitting room, though we could have.

Paul really gave us a lot of travel and sightseeing tips; he went out of his way to be helpful and was always curteous.

Meal tip: we really liked the Pita Huis. The felafel came with 6 great dipping sauces.

( By the way, every double bed we encountered in Europe was two twins pushed together. This was true in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. I think only the residents buy the full mattresses. )

This was one of the top-3 pleasant stays on our trip.

“Nice hotel, well located, will come back....”

Hotel Fevery

Jun 28, 2008

The previous reviews on TripAdvisor convinced us to book at this hotel and we were not disappointed.

We were expecting to arrive very late and Paul was very accomodating. The directions to the hotel were 'spot on' and so we arrived stress free.

The room we had was compact, but very clean and fresh. The secure parking was very comforting and enabled us to lock the car away on arrival and leave it there for the duration of our visit.

Service at breakfast was quick with a range of breads, meats and cheese, plus cereal on offer.

The hotel was just 5 minutes walk from the main Market square, and so was very centrally located. Waking up to the bells ringing from the large church closeby at 7.30 (so not overly early) also made a nice change to the screech of an alarm clock.

A really good choice for a short break in Bruges, as friendly, clean and good value for money.
