I stayed at the hotel for almost the entire month of September and really enjoyed the accommodations and hotel staff. My wife visited during one of the weeks and the executive concierge (Pepi & Thetis) couldn't have been more helpful, they we both absolutely great in making sure that our visit was memorable and in helping us find some of the better places to dine and sites to visit.

The hotel is located near the hilton and has access to the train system just a short walk from the hotel. It is also just a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Plaka, Syntagama Square and the nearby Acropolis. They sometime look "far away" on some of the maps, but they are an easy walk and short distance away, we thought the hotel was in a great location.

Its also worth noting that this part of Athens is safe to walk around by yourself during the day or even late into the evening/night. In comparing it to NY City I felt it was safer and cleaner. Obviously in any city there are "bad spots" where you can get into trouble, but around this area we felt very comfortable.

The rooms (7th floor) were very nice, the cleaning staff did a great job and my wife very much enjoyed the roof top swimming pool and its view of the Acropolis and surrounding area.

During our stay we visited with several folks from various countries that were on a cruise or tours and many of them said that Athens was one of the best places they visited. A few even mentioned that this hotel was the best that they stayed at during their vacation.

great stay for 3 nigths.comfortable beds, soundproofed rooms, very good room service, good choices of restaurants, excellent turn down service, superb business service.first choice for hotel in athens-nothing too fancy but excactly what you are looking for a perfect comfortable - luxurious hotel.

I've spend a total of at least 10 nights in this hotel during the last year. Its location is good, but the hotel is not that competitive in its price range. Next door Hilton is a way better hotel and slightly more expensive. Grecotel Athens Imperial is 20% cheaper and a much better hotel, but its location is no the best.

In my opinion I would not stay again in this hotel because I believe there are better options for the same price.

I have nothing to complain about the personnel, once I checked-out, I realized I left my ring at the bathroom, I told it to the reception clerk, gave me a key and when I was approaching my room a girl from housekeeping service told me if I had forgotten my ring and gave it back to me.

I have stayed in Athens in June 2007, during a heat wave. The hotel is very nice, very well located near a metro station. The hotel room was very good, and comfortable with a good size. The bathroom was big and very clean. The swimming pool was very good, even if very hot for these very hot days (45 degrees). The view from the roof-garden is gorgeous, one can see the Acropolis and very nice at night.
Internet is wireless but very expensive. They have some computers and printer for the guests, but still it is very expensive.
The restaurants are good, with a large variety of Greek food of very good quality. The price is above the prices of the nearby tabernas, but the quality and service more than compensate. Buffet breakfast was superb.
The staff was ok, not too friendly, but not rude. In Athens it is very difficult to find friendly people.
Overall, the hotel was good, but bellow of what you expect from a 5*.
