We stayed at the Stella Apartments in Geni, which was a real find - the hosts Stella and Savas greeted us on arrival and made our entire stay very welcoming. The location is great for those wanting to stay somewhere a bit quieter and more traditionally Greek, but without wanting to be cut off completely. Nidri was accesible by hire car or boat, but equally well there was a shop and tavernas within a minute or two's walk from the apartments. In fact, one of our preferred tavernas was Dimitri's just next door but one from Stella Apartments, who welcomed us in and served fresh fish and traditional Greek food. The pool was a reasonable size and kept very clean, with a bar alongside that Stella and Savas kept open all day. Apartment 5 offered views out over the water, across Vlicho Bay and all were very clean and well-maintained.
Would definitely recommend hiring a boat to explore a bit further, and it seemed to be cheaper to book this in advance.
Overall we'd say, a great place to enjoy some summer sunshine, good Greek food in a very relaxed and friendly surrounding.
