Legoland is only a 10 min taxi drive from Billund airport. BIllund itself is a quite village with nothin much else to see and do.

Legoland is excellent!! There are things form all ages groups. Excellent facilities inside.

My wife and two children, ages 11 and 6, visited Legoland in late May, 2006. We were in Europe with my wife's parents, but since I've been a Lego fan since gradeschool, I couldn't be this close without visiting Legoland! We drove back and forth from home base in Abenra, close to 2 hours each way. The weather was terrible--about 55 degrees F and raining most of the day.
But we loved Legoland! And this is coming from someone who has had annual passes to Disney World for years. We visited at the beginning of our trip, so it was neat to see all the sights in Lego that we would later see in real life. I was amazed at how detailed and similar the Lego version of Nyhavn is to the real one--right down to the doorways of the buildings. People were able to bring in coolers with food and drink, and what blew us away is that people brought their dogs with them.
For this Lego fan, the trip was definitely worth it.

My husband and I visited Legoland for the opening weekend of the 2006 season (1st and 2nd of April). We had a great time. We were amazed by the models made to resemble the culture of different countries just inside the entrance way. They were fantastic and we spent a long time just looking at all the intricate detail. We also spent a few hours in the excellent hands on technic lego making rooms where was created all sorts of working models. The rides were also great (especially the new "design your own ride" - very cool!) and the queues were not long considering it was opening weekend (I guess they might be worse in season though).

A tip for transport and accommodation: there are no trains going to Billund. We got the train to Veijle and then the bus into Billund which was not too difficult. We also found a shortage of accommodation in Billund at that time of year but decided to stay at the Legoland Hotel which was pricey but great fun!

we went to legoland in october 04 just before the park closes for the winter.

we went on a trip by dfds seaways from harwich. they bused us there from esjburg (dana serna). (the boat,staff accommadation,food was just fantastic, fun packs for the kids.

the legoland park was just great
our two are 3 and 5 from 120cm high
is just the right hight to go as they could go on all the rides except 3 !!!

legoland it was clean, reasonable prices, no waiting time on rides (being out of season). fantastic staff, you can get a special tagging system for kids safety or wristbands.

it is well worth going and we would go again without a doubt. a fantastic hoilday!!!!!!
