The Hilton Rhodes Resort is one of the few chain resorts I saw on the island of Rhodes. It lives up to the Hilton name, but if you are planning your vacation based on Hilton resorts, you are better off going to the Hilton Malta, Hilton Eilat Queen of Sheba, or one of the Sinai resorts. I found that the hotel was more four star than five star. The weather in Rhodes during the May/June months is nice but not as nice as you would find at the other resorts I listed which are also cheaper because of a strong Euro.
The hotel itself is near the beach (seperated by a street, but with a tunnel connecting them), though the beach is not sandy rather rocky. The hotel is on a hill making it annoying to switch elevators all the time to go from the room to the pool. Some of the rooms face the mountain and not the beach so I can immagine they are not very nice. The hotel has three pools though the indoor one was quite bland and nobody used it because it was noisy and I believe costs money to use because it is in the "spa". The outdoor main pool was lovely, and so was the presentation of the meals, though I didn't eat. I was shocked though that during meals if you wanted to drink you had to pay for it. No free water, everything costs money. All in all the hotel was okay, but because of the price and the overall feel of the area, I would not book again and you shouldn't book Rhodes unless it is for a short time.
