We stayed for five nights, wished it could have been five months. Marc is the penultimate host; our flight to BQN was delayed, but he'd called the airline, learned that and was waiting for us at the entrance when we drove up (the directions he'd sent us were spot on, too).

Marc couldn't do enough for us, and his breakfasts were to die for. Good bed, plenty of hot water, beautiful surroundings (you have to see the garden), what more could one want? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would return in a New York minute.

Don't miss Paco and Pico (Pico's the one with the spot on his shoulder, I think); they were three weeks old at our visit.

If your heading for Puerto Rico you should try this wonderful little Inn. Marc and his staff will treat you like gold. Over the last 10 years we have stayed just about everywhere in the islands. The Blue Boy is by far the nicest, cleanest and most welcoming place we have ever stayed. Just can not say enough about this place. The roses and candy in each room for Valentine Day was a great little touch.

Marc will also give you the heads up on what is happening locally along with advise on restaurants.

The little restaurant called the Ship Wreck about 100 feet from the garden enterance serves some of the best dishes on the Island.

This was our first time on the West side of Puerto Rico, and if you find beauty in the countryside with little tourism, nightlife, etc.. then you'll love it. This little Inn is what we would call perfect. It was the first trip my fiance and had been on since we had our little one a couple of years ago, and this couldnt have been more of a romantic, sirene getaway. After we left the Inn and headed to the San Juan area for the remainder of our trip, we couldnt stop talking about how badly we missed the Blue Boy!!! Mark's impeccable attention to detail has made this property unlike any other we've ever stayed in. We are returning in the summer to host our wedding at the Blue Boy. The entire property is tastefully done, spotless, and the gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and if you're gonna go, make it soon, the rates are so reasonable I cant imagine them staying this way for long.

After reading about this place on Tripadvisor.com, I decided to stay here for half of my Puerto Rico Honeymoon. I wasnt able to make it to Rincon for the first night, because I was bumped from my flight twice, even know I bought the tickets 6 months earlier. Anyways, I was upgraded to the nicest room for all my troubles. Something you dont find at the larger corporate hotels. **Just a little note to give for people traveling to stay at the Blue Boy, If you are using a GPS, It doesnt have the hotel on file, but did get us close enough to stop and ask directions. Also make sure you are driving in the daylight hours, or it will be really hard to find. As far as the hotel goes, It may be the nicest place to stay in all Puerto Rico. Im not understating that point. Mark ( the owner ) knows what he's doing when it comes to design and landscaping. While I was there he was in process of building a swimming pool, which looked like it was going to be beautiful as well. He also showd us on his computer ( which is available to guests to use ) a really nice beach to visit. The beach close to the hotel isnt the greatest for swimming ( rocky ) but about 1/2 mile walk down the beach is a nice sandy area to swim. The area surrounding the Blue Boy isnt the prettiest , but after seeing Puerto Rico you'll understand that im not saying anything negative here. Just dont expect there to be perfect resorts on both sides. In my opinion you should stay at the Blue Boy if you are anywhere near the west side of the island, because everything to see isnt a far drive. And you should rent a car, you'd be crazy not too. The breakfast was good, a serve yourself type meal. The room price was very reasonable, especially compared to other hotels.
