Very happy with Maestranza hotel.

Parking handled by staff for 9 euros per night underneath.

Reception most friendly. Breakfast quite adequate in choice & quality however check lids otherwise you may miss hot items of eggs & bacon.
Room well furnished though crowded however not a problem.

Laundry returned within few hours on same day.
Would happily stay again.

“Great location”

Hotel Maestranza

Jun 8, 2007

This hotel was in a perfect location. Just opposite the bullring and within walking distance of everything.
We had our car parked for us and the staff were very helpful.
Our room was clean and ok but no view and had no character.
This didn't bother us as we were out sightseeing most of the time.
The breakfast was fine and adequate.
We would recommend this hotel if you need a perfect location and plan not to stay in your room much.
The car park at the hotel costs 9 euros per night. It is a lot more expensive to park at the other car parks. 14 euros a night at one close by.
I did my emails at the hotel and it cost me 1 euro for half an hour.

“Tiny room”

We only stayed in this hotel for 1 night, I don't think I would have liked to stay longer. The location is excellent, but our room was the smallest I have stayed in and the size of the bathroom was a joke. Other than that the room was clean, if a bit dated - fine for a one night stay.

“Standard stuff”

Stardard town centre hotel, the main plus is the location, but it's absolutely fine for what it is. To be honest we were only in there becasue we couldn't get in the Parador. Everthing clean and tidy, rooms adequate, most of the light bulbs work, usual stuff. The bar would be nice but for the rather terse staff. There's no reason to eat anything in this hotel, given the vast and appetising choice just outside.

“What was that smell??”

Hotel Maestranza

Jul 24, 2006

Despite all the positive reviews (which lead me to book this hotel in the first place) I cannot recommend anyone to stay here. The location is excellent as were the hotel staff but the rooms were old, dirty and smelly. My girlfriend and I had booked a double room but were first given a twin instead. This first room was small, dark and had a really strange odour probably to do with the very old carpets and curtains. We asked to move rooms straight away as we wanted a double. The hotel staff were helpful and obliged our request and we were moved in 10 minutes. However the second room also stank! I think there was a problem with the drains and they had tried to disguise it with a truck load of air freshner!
We checked out an hour later after finding the Parador which is twice the price but worth every penny! Excellent hotel with great pool overlooking the gorge and wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
Don't stay at Maestranza.
