Hotel St. George is a really nice, friendly hotel. Location is excellent, around 10 minutes walk from the National Museum at the top of Wenceslas Square and 5 minutes from I. P. Pavlova Metro station. Our room was spacious, light and very clean; we were on the top (5th) floor which meant we did not have a view, but this was not a problem. There is a safe in the room, the key can be obtained from reception with a deposit of Kc 500, which we got back on departure.
Breakfast was contenental style - croissants, bread, fruit, cold meats, cheese, etc. - a good selection and all fresh and tasty. On Sunday we also had some very nice hot sausages!
We used the jacuzzi pool a couple of times which was very nice and relaxing after a day of pounding the streets of Prague; this is in the "fitness" room in the basement - there are also a running machine, cycling machine and multigym in there which all appear to be good quality and in full working order. There is also a sauna, which is charged at Kc 600 (about £15)
There is a lounge / bar where we had a drink most evenings before bed, and got chatting with fellow guests (most of the residents seem to be English, not surprising given the name of the hotel!) There is also internet access available here, although we did not use it.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful with all requests, including arranging taxi to the airport. We would certainly recommend the St. George to anyone visiting Prague.
