Vintgar Gorge is in the Triglav National Park. It is approximately a mile long with a waterfall at the far end. You do have to go behind the gift shop and down some steps to get a decent view of the waterfall, otherwise just view it from the bridge.
The paths are well maintained and where there is no path a boardwalk has been built. Walking is very easy and all on the level although I would not recommend it for pushchairs and wheelchairs as there are some steps and the paths can be rocky in places.
The scenery is stunning and it is well worth the trip out of Bled, which is only 4km away. You can get there by bus but be sure that you know the time of the return trip as we met a couple who had been caught out this way and were walking back to town when we stopped to pick them up.
