The Art William hotel wasn't that easy for us to find. We stayed in Bratislava for only 1 night and drove from Vienna. Because it's in the centre of the old town and that's pedestrianised you can't drive right up to it. It literally took us about an hour of driving around before we realised you couldn't drive up to it.
Once you get inside it looks almost like a store front. The reception is in this little shopping area with a japanese restaurant and some other stores nearby. The rooms though were quite large. Easily the biggest rooms I had ever stayed in in Europe. Very close to American sized rooms. The furniture was all new and the decor modern in an artistic sort of way. In fact, above the giant bed heads were these leather straps hanging off a long horizontal chrome bar. I kept thinking that some people would try to put those straps to good use ;P
The breakfast was extensive and I enjoyed it. Not extremely high quality but a good range of cereals, bread, eggs, sausages, bacon, fruit, yoghurt, etc. I'm a picky eater and had no probs going back for seconds.
As I've mentioned before the hotel is in the heart of the old town. the old town is actually quite small (compared to other European cities) so you can walk around it easily from the hotel. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. It was excellent value for money and a really comfortable stay.
