What a lovely hotel. It's a little out of the way, but a great price, lovely staff, and one block from the Metro. Very convenient! I would definitely stay there again!

Business serviceBooked this hotel via priceline and got an amazing rate of $50. Stayed for one night with my fiancee during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The hotel is located in the area called Navy Yards. The new Washington Nationals baseball team stadium, Nationals Park is about 4 blocks away. We could see the stadium out our hotel window. Currently there isn't much in the vicinity as the area is being revitalized. There is a Subways sandwich shop down the block as well as a CVS and Starbucks. The Metro subway is one block away from the hotel. Took us about 5 minutes via Metro to get to the Mall. There are a lot of new buildings being built and with the addition of the stadium, in a few years the area will have a lot of restaurants, shops and bars near by.
The hotel has an underground parking lot which costs $10 a night. We arrived late after 3AM and had a hard time finding a spot in the underground parking lot. Check in was easy and fast. The room was very spacious and pretty modern. There was a flat screen HDTV in the room. Room also had a desk area with wired internet connection. There also was a mini refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was a good size with a divider between sink and toilet. There is a small lobby restaurant where we had breakfast buffet style and made to order eggs. Front desk was very helpful in providing us with direction to getting the Cherry Blossom at the Tidal Basin via the Metro. The staff was very friendly, we were greeted with hellos by all the staff, cleaning people in the hallway, maintenance personnel in the lobby, etc. I would definitely stay here again even for full price.

Business serviceWe got there early, about 11:00 am and early check in was no problem at all, even though they were fully booked. Our room was the standard size for a city hotel, (you're not gonna find too many huge hotel rooms in DC unless they are suites). The rooms are equipped with besides the standard, bed, desk, chair, dresser and wardrobe, there's a flat screen HD TV and mini frig also. I called down to request a microwave; they said they would see if there were anymore available. We left the hotel and when we got back, they had set up the microwave for us.
This hotel is one block from a metro stop, which is very convenient. There's a couple of sandwich places nearby and a CVS. However, there isn't any nearby restaurants except the on site Marriott restaurant.
There is on site parking. The parking deck does fill up at night, and they have to valet park your car so you have to leave your keys. I have to say they have the cheapest hotel parking I’ve seen in DC.
The area this hotel is in is right near the new Nationals baseball stadium. There is a lot of new development coming up around the hotel, so I do see restaurants and more stores in the future.
I'm not sure if this hotel is always as busy as it was when we were there because we were there during the Cherry Blossom festival, in the heat of tourist season and with the new baseball stadium there seem to be a game every day. Nevertheless, even with all this people traffic the service was still good.

Business serviceWe were to check in Monday around 10pm, but missed our flight connection & were unable to arrive until 11am on Tuesday. Hotel had a 6pm cancellation policy, but when I called (at 9pm) to explain our circumstances, they waived the cancellation policy (no charge for the missed Monday night) and even let us check in early on Tuesday. What a pleasant surprise!
Very clean (fairly new hotel) & hotel staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Convenience to the Metro was a real bonus! Also only a $15 taxi fare to National Airport. The only down side is the lack of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel does have a restaurant (OK) & also a snack area to purchase a sandwich/salad, etc. Subway & Five Guys are around the corner. Five Guys has a GREAT hamburger! We would definitely stay here again.

Business serviceWe were quite fortunate to find this hotel. It offered a great deal of positives that we enjoyed: comfortable room, clean environs, great price, close proximity to the Navy Yard Metro station, quiet, in a seemingly growing and rebuilding area and helpfulness with directions and other questions. If there was a downside, it was that the hotel staff were a bit overwhelmed when our cards would not work, coming back from a long day of seeing the sights. However, the manager was apologetic and fairly quick in resolving the issue. Otherwise, a great experience and we would stay again.
