The good:
- Quiet area
- Comfortable rooms and beds
- Friendly staff
- Occasional good rates (I happened to stumble upon a weekend rate at half the normal price)
- Free parking
- Bright rooms and hallways
- Colorful (a bit overwhelming at first)
- Good ventilation (A previous review states that there is no bathroom fan. It's correct to say there is no fan in the room, but there is a vent in every bathroom from which air is constantly pulled by a fan on the roof, so the bath steam and room odors disappear quickly).
The bad:
- Hi-speed internet is $10/day.
- Must pass through lounge to get to elevators, whether entering/leaving the hotel or going/coming from the pool.
- Walls are not sound insulated as well as most nice hotels, so we occasionally heard our neighbors
- We had our 'Do not disturb' sign out until 3:30 pm (except for 2 hrs while gone for lunch), and room was not cleaned, even though maid was two rooms down when we left at 3:30. Not a big deal, but expected more at higher end hotel.
- Hallway ceilings are too low - requires ducking for fire sprinklers for very tall folks like me
The recommendation:
- I would stay here again if the rates were within 20 percent of the Hampton Inn, otherwise I would go to the Hampton Inn which has good reviews (and free parking/free internet/complimentary breakfast)
