I've been to Disneyland Resort Paris, Disneyworld Florida and this one Disneyland in California. Let me tell you this is the best by far!! This one has a bit of individuality compared to the other two. If your going with a family of kids or thrillseeking teenagers its the place to go. It has the best weather out of the lot aswell and so many choices of hotels nearby. The adventure park is more for the older ones whereas the normal one has all the disney characters. In the adventure park the rides I would recommend for thrill seekers are the twilight tower of terror, California screaming and a few others. I would NOT recommend the sun wheel for people who are overweight (dad) as it is a scary experience and the swinging gondolas will flip over! Food nothing too expensive usual restuarants, dine with the characters and then the hot dog carts. Do not bring big bags with you to this park cause they tend to search you and will not let you in with a suspicious big bag :P

Went to Disneyland late Feb/early March (5 days for 3 day pass) with husband and 11-yr old daughter.

Had a great time except for the crowds on Sat/Sun and again (surprisingly) Monday. Crowds very tolerable on Th and Fri. Beware of pushy people with strollers who feel they can roll over your feet ... I never met a ruder bunch of people than determined Moms & Dads pushing strollers through the crowds - admittedly a frustrating thing for them, but hey! those were my toes! :-(

Not sure why there is no Fast Pass for "Finding Nemo" - finally got to see it after arriving first thing Mon a.m. and even then stood in line for 35 mins - fun but I would never stand in line for much longer than that for "Finding Nemo". Fast Pass is the way to go!

Loved the Pirates of the Caribbean ride c/w Johnny Depp aka Jack Sparrow, etc..

The firework show at night was worth staying for, even if it meant being herded like sheep into an enclosure. Baaaaaaa.

Having been to Disney World in Orlando, I think I prefer FLA because it seems more spread out and able to handle the crowds better.

TIP - if you are standing in line w/your child for an autograph/photo op with a "character" you might inquire to the assisting cast member how long they'll be there - we had a couple of characters suddenly stop (I suppose everyone is entitled to a break!) posing for autographs/photos and there were some disappointed kids in line. It must be a difficult thing to try to manage.

We were in California with my husband on business so I had the pleasure of taking two kids through a Disney park alone. We have already been to the Florida parks so we knew the drill. Get there early, fastpass all the rides you really want to go on and most of all RELAX!

Many of the rides and attractions were similar to the Florida parks but still fun. Christopher really liked Tom Sawyer's Island and the Pirate show. Emma of course just wanted to see Cinderella.

Over all we liked California Adventure more because there were zero lineups for anything and Christopher is starting to become a thrill ride junkie.

I'm almost 40 years old and never had the opportunity to go to a Disney resort (I grew up on the East Coast, but my family neglected to take us to Disneyworld because we never had the money). I promised I would not do that to my child, so there we were last week for his birthday. And I finally had the Disney experience. Did it break the bank? Yes! Am I still happy we went? Yes!

We went during the week, so lines were not as long. We left to go home on Friday and noticed that the lines for the rides were becoming intolerable.

I loved walking Main Street. It really is a fantasy land. The only negative is that the folks running Space Mountain were quite rude. But overall, everyone who works at Disneyland is wonderful!
