“Going back to the Pepper Tree soon!”

Hotel Pepper Tree

5 of 5 stars
East Bay Area, California
May 12, 2008

Just stayed at the Pepper Tree about a week ago, and I really enjoyed our stay here. I have tried about 10 different hotels in the Disneyland area, and this is probably my favorite overall.

The room was attractive and very well set up. While we didn't really use the full features of the kitchen, it was very well set up. This is also the most comfortable place I've stayed in the area: the BEST bed, great pillows...just a really good night's sleep. I've paid much more for rooms that had beds so hard that I could not sleep there, so this is the best quality for the money, in my opinion.

I really liked the large balcony we had (complete with table and chairs) with a nice view over the pool. Plus, being able to open up to fresh air instead of relying on the AC is a bonus. I do have to say that facing out to Lincoln avenue is rather noisy in the morning when traffic starts up, but not a complete deal-breaker.

Overall, noise is about the only downside here, but many places I've stayed in the area are often thin-walled and noisy. I specifically requested a top-floor room, so I think that helped cut down on noise. But anyplace you stay in the area will probably be noisy when the kids are up and excited to get to Disneyland. : )

We were able to get over to the park in just a few minutes, and I thought the location was great. Plan on the parking structure taking a little bit of time on busier days, but it wasn't too bad.

This is a great place to stay, and the staff is spectacular. I would highly recommend it.

“great place to stay!!!!”

Hotel Pepper Tree

we were a little hesitant to stay at the hotel peppertree at first but was very pleased when we arrived. the hotel was very quite and our rooms were clean. we loved the fully equipped kitchen and it's only a 10 minute drive to disneyland. the bathroom is a little small and shower curtain doesn't keep the water from soaking the bathroom floor at all. but those are very minor details. we will definitely stay again.

“We loved the Pepper Tree!”

Hotel Pepper Tree

May 9, 2008

We stayed at the Pepper Tree for 3 nights and loved it. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. We really loved having the little kitchen in the room. It was so nice being able to have some Cokes and bottled water in the refrigerator.

The only problem we had was the A/C didn't work well. The first night I thought maybe it needed some time to cool down. The second and third night I was too exhausted. I mentioned it upon check-out and they seemed genuinely concerned and appologized. I think had I actually complained about it earlier in my stay, they would have taken care of it.

Also, there is a Mexican restaurant in the parking lot, but it was never open when we tried go there. The Pepper Tree provides complimentary continental breakfast. They give you a ticket, you take it to the Mexican restaurant and they will seat you in a special section where they have the continental breakfast set up.

I would absolutely stay there again.

“Great stay!”

Hotel Pepper Tree

california

We stayed for four days and were extremely pleased. We had requested a quiet room away from the pool area and street and that's exactly what we got. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We will be staying there again.

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — the kitchenett, and how quiet it was
    • Disliked — The front desk isn't staffed from 1am to 7am. If you happen to need something you're out of luck.

“A little bit disappointed”

Hotel Pepper Tree

3 of 5 stars
North Las Vegas, Nevada
May 6, 2008

We just returned from a stay at the Pepper Tree. After reading all the positive reviews, we were very excited about a stay here. I must say we were a little bit dissappointed when we arrived/entered the room. The room had a very strange odor when we opened the door (kind of moldy) so we opened the sliding glass door immediately. The rooms looked old and there was a lot of patched up spots on the walls and patched up carpet. This place has great potential and with some nice paint and carpet it would look like a four star property. I don't know what they did witht the kitchen cabinets, but they decided to sand off some of the paint; to make it look more rustic, I guess. It doesn't work for me.

Check-in was flawless and the clerk was very friendly. The pool was clean, as was the entire property.

We ate at the Mexican restaurant for dinner one night and I must say, it was one of the best tasting Mexican dishes I have ever had. My wife said that the Mango Margaritas were out of this world.

Avoid the complimentary continental breakfast - it's a joke.

If we would get a really good rate for the Pepper Tree, we would stay here again. Don't pay more then $70 night, there are better places to stay in.

Our friends stayed in one of the one bedroom suites and this is basically two regular rooms with a connecting door that has been opened. One room had the bed removed and had a couch and dining room in it.

    • Liked — Location, ease to get to Disneyland
    • Disliked — Rustic look did not work, it looked outdated instead
