“The best hotel to stay at if you're going to Disneyland!!!”

We stayed at the Disney's Grand Californian the night before our stay at the Doubletree and have to say this hotel is by far better than Disney's. No I don't work for Doubletree...or have anything to do with the travel industry. I paid double to stay at the Disney's Grand Californian, and the Doubletree provided the better experience. The room is brighter, double the size of the Disney's Grand Californian, cleaner, front desk and room service extremely helpful and friendly.... truly after a long day of walking and riding on the Disney rides it was like coming home. From the moment we walked into the room, and throughout our stay we were impressed with the quality. The towels were first class, great coffee maker, good quality bed, sheets, blanket, nice touches throughout and clean. We absolutely loved it and will stay again when visiting Disneyland. We truly didn't mind the commute between Disneyland and the Doubletree at all. We came back several times throughout the day. It literally takes only about 15-20 minutes to drive between the Mickey & Friends parking lot (that's the Disneyland parking lot), and the hotel. The Tram which carries you back and forth between the parking lot and the parks came constantly. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. Hope you're stay is as great as ours.

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor, I am from Australia and was going to book another well known Sheraton Brand.

I have to say this hotel is excellent, currently staying in a 2 room non smoking queen suite, paid internet rate in full.

On check in arrived early, gentleman booking us in allowed us to check in early. Cookies were lovely and a really homely touch.

The room is fantastic, big, roomy, love the two rooms separate toilet and shower to wash basin etc. Room is very new.!

I will never again use hotels from well known travel agent, I will do my own research and am so glad that I chose this hotel to stay in.

Stayed at Anaheim Marriott Suites Oct 2006 and that was good this is better or just as good!

Staff friendly and helpful!

Definately recommend this hotel and can see why it has ranked 2nd most popular on Trip Advisor

My husband and I arrived anaheim very sick. We had relatives staying at the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel but decided to stay at the Double Tree due to significant cost savings and past relative reviews of this hotel. And they couldn't be more right! The rooms were very nicely appointed and the customer service was through the roof. While the kids and I toured the parks, my husband stayed behind to get better. He called room service and ordered a $8 sprite...ouch. But when room service delivered the sprite, they realized how sick he was and quickly followed up with complimentary soup and crackers. Well beyond our expectations for a double tree hotel! The front desk staff was very helpful and accomodating when we needed to check out a day early because his health wasn't improving. The other members in our party stayed at the Disney Paradise Pier hotel. The bad about the double tree was the distance from the parks. It is definately NOT walkable if you have smaller kids as was the Disney hotel. However, the rooms were much nicer as was the beds...the beds were simply heaven after a long day at the parks (or sick in bed). We couldn't say more about a hotel. My husband and I have traveled extensively and can say that this was one of the best experiences with a hotel that we have ever had! You will not be disappointed!

Great Hotel, Wonderful staff and VERY comfortable rooms. Walking distance (for the able bodied) to the park and ART access right outside the hotel.

Note: Beware that ART is hardly a reliable transportation system. Often late and slow.

“Perfect for Disney”

Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim Resort / Convention Center

Just finished up a 4 night stay at the Doubletree with my husband and two girls (ages 9 and 4). I had decided on the Doubletree mainly from the reviews on Trip Advisor. We weren't disappointed.

We had a two room suite. The bedroom was large and the beds super comfortable. The living area was a good size and along with the couch and comfy chair it included a huge desk - great if you need to get any computer time in or the kids need to do a bit of homework on their trip. Very clean and good housekeeping service.

Fridge was very small, but had enough room for a few beverages and some leftovers we heated up next day in the microwave.

The hotel is not what I would call walking distance to the Disney Parks but it is a five minute bus ride and we never had any issues with the buses at all - contrary to other reviews. Never waited more than 10 minutes.

Re: the food - the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Would have loved an omelette station, but we had the breakfast package so we didn't have to worry about paying for food every morning and this more than sustained us until a late lunch at the parks. Lots of choices and they changed a few dishes up daily so there was always something different to try.

I can't believe people complain about the price of dinner in the restaurant. We ate there 3 nights out of the 4. The one night we chose not to we went to the Outback. I had a burned steak, my kids meals were also overcooked and we spent almost $100 - I drank water! In the hotel the kids eat free. My husband and I each had an entre, we had a glass of wine each and my husband had an appetizer - with the kids being free we spent $54 and then just went straight to our room without the need of getting back in our car and finding our way back to the hotel. The portions for dinner were very large and we tried something new each night. Food was really good. One of the nicest ceasar salads I have had in a restaurant and the pastas were really great. Wait staff were always very pleasant and attentive. I think eating in the hotel for dinner was a great part of our trip.

Overall we were very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again on our next trip.
