I stayed here in March, on what was a good rate (for that time period) in Anaheim. I was staying over Easter week.
The hotel was not too far of a walk from the Grand Californian, which was a great shortcut to the parks. I didn't really like where the hotel itself was located - it seemed a little set off to the side, away from other hotels (though it was right next to a Dennys). I didn't feel comfortable walking back too late at night, because it's the last hotel in that area.
The stay was okay. Not great, not terrible. The rooms are older, but the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning unit was an old-style one. I did find the liquor store behind the hotel a great place for reasonably priced fruit and snacks.
My next stay in Anaheim will be at the Marriott Residence Inn, which I got for $82 per night for a 2 week stay. So definitely do research before staying here. I wouldn't NOT recommend it, but I'd rather stay elsewhere. I do like the Candy Cane Inn very much, but it was another $50 or $60 per night over what I paid for this property, and I was on a budget. I can't see giving more than 3 stars for this hotel, but I'd not go too much under either (it's decent, not exceptional).
