Our visit to San Pedro was superb and our stay at the Corona del Mar was certainly a contributing factor. It is a small friendly hotel (always the kind we look for) .... and the reception staff was always friendly, helpful and obliging regardless of our requests. We were certainly made to feel at ease and comfortable at all times. The daily breakfast was quite adequate and it was great to just come downstairs and be able to eat immediately. It was also great to have rum punch and fruit punch available all day. The beach in front of the hotel was gorgeous and kept that way daily by Frank.... thank you, Frank. The water off the shore was not particularly nice however they have a dock with a palapa and lounging chairs and the swimming is better there. The rooms were always kept really clean and there were always plenty of towels... so nice! Although our room furnishings (we stayed in the Prince William suite) seemed a little antiquated and in need of renovation, (especially the shower which didn't have much pressure and was difficult to control the temp) that didn't seem to matter as much once we settled in and got to feel at home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and if we get the chance to return to Ambergris Caye I would definately stay at the Corona del Mar again. Thanks again, everybody!

I stayed at the Corona del Mar for a week at the end of April. It has a great staff and a great location to enjoy San Pedro.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the staff was there to help with whatever we needed. They could book anything you wanted - from snorkeling and fishing trips to golf cart rental and local airline reservations. Their knowledge of the best places to dine and reputable tours was very helpful.

The rooms were spotless and the location was ideal - right on the beach, close to downtown but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing in the evening.

I can't think of a better place to stay for the money and Corona del Mar will be our first choice on our return to Ambergris Caye. Hats off to Ernesto and the rest of the crew!

The Corona Del Mar is a wonderful hotel. The staff was very friendly, Ernesto was helpful with any question we had. We miss Frank's smile and great attitude each day. My husband and I loved the people in San Pedro, they are all very friendly. Our favorite restaurants include : Monkey Bites, Pepperonis (Great Pizza), George's Kitchen and Coromobas. Our favorite bar was: Canucks. We rented a golf cart for 1 day and we had the best time giving the locals rides to their various destinations, we also drove North of the bridge to the Palapa Bar. To rent a golf cart for 24 hrs was around $75 us (includes gas). We also enjoyed all of the fresh fruit stands around town, the watermelon was excellent. We went snorkeling with Sea Rious Adventures, and it was great!!! We went to the Hol Chan Reserve and Shark Ray Alley. This was the best snorkeling ever. We loved San Pedro!
