After reading all the reviews here on TripAdvisor we choose to stay at the Pelican Reef. The reviews all seemed very pleased with the resort so we booked a week and went down the end of January 2008. We were very happy with our decision. Ambergris Caye was beautiful and the Pelican Reef was more than we could have hoped for. The unit we stayed in was perfect, the grounds were immaculate and the staff was the best part. Friendly, helpful and down to earth. The beach was perfect and the pier was amazing. We snorkled under the pier and at the reef, just a short paddle from our front door. Absolutely going back with our kids very soon.

This is truely a piece of heaven in paradise!! Five stars isn't enough to explain how incrediable this place really is. The rooms were very plush, and the veiw was amazing. Pelican Reef Villas is first class all the way. The staff couldn't have been any more friendly or helpful. They made my first expeirence to San Pedro, better than I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend that if you plan on visiting San Pedro you choose to stay at Pelican Reef Villas, you will leave with the best expeirence of your life!!

Recently my boyfriend of 2 years suprised me with a romantic gettaway to Ambergris Caye. He booked our stay at Pelican Reef Villas Resort south of San Pedro. At first, I was a little hesitant about Belize because to be honest, I really don't know much about it. Was I ever so pleasantly suprised! The resort was absolutely remarkable. Everything was perfect from the interior decor of the villas to the lush grounds to the top knotch staff; I could find no fault with the place! The beach was so romantic and we loved watching the sunsets from the end of the pier. My boyfriend actually propsed during one of those sunsets and before we left we spoke with Lori about hosting our upcomming wedding!! I think it will be the perfect place!! :)

the pelican reef villas resort is one of those places that you'll never forget and want to go back to as soon as possible! the rooms are amazing, the staff is always there to help and it's like you're on your own personal island. the pool is awesome with a view like no other and the beach is so close that you will fall in love and never want to go home!!
