Just got back from a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise. By far the best day on our cruise was the day we spent at the Sante Wellness Center on Roatan. All the arrangements for our arrival were well planned for us. We arrived and were overwhelmed by the beauty and "aura" of this special place. We enjoyed massages under a chickee hut by the ocean and just melted into ourselves. We swam in the refreshing salt water pool, rested in the beautiful hammocks, watched the hummingbirds feed on the porch, saw Angela retrieve the parrots from the trees to feed on their perches on the porch, and snapped photos of the beautiful red macaw sitting in the tree next to us, and then had a wonderful lunch of grilled shrimp, rice, and wine. Our whole day was totally peaceful and rejuvenating, we hated to see it end. We can't praise Angela and Leon and their thoughtful staff enough for this wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.

We stayed at four different hotels during our journey in Honduras - this was by far the best part of our trip. Angela is gracious and accommodating - we stayed in the the Sedona Suite and could not have been more pleased. The room was perfect and we really enjoyed the solitude. The reef backs up to their backyard and it is beautiful natural surroundings as far as you can see. We spent several hours on the veranda overlooking the water enjoying a few beers. The food is the best we had while in Honduras and was also the most affordable. To top it all off, I had the most incredible facial (with a mango/'pineapple peel). If I ever return to Honduras....Sante will be the one and only destination. Please keep in mind, this is not the place to go if you are looking to party. This is a tranquil and serene oasis on Roatan.......a place to slow down and enjoy the company of a loved one.

Our 4 day stay at the Sante Wellness Centre was a memorable one for all the right reasons. If you are looking to reach the extreme limits of relaxation, then Angela and Leon will effortlessly get you there with their wonderful property and personable service. You basically don't have to lift a finger as you relax next to the pool with beautiful views all around. The treatments were of the highest quality and there were other things that we could do too - a prisitne coral reef is right next to the centre, and Leon gives you the snorkelling gear to go and see the fine corals and fish. There is a kayak for watching the sunsets and there is a dive centre just 10 minutes drive away, on the lesser-explored north side of Roatan (ask to do the Sponges and Dolphins Den cave dives - they are superb).
Or you could just sit back with your book and watch the humming birds buzz around you all day, while you enjoy the home prepared food. A real treat.

Well, without going into details, I was trying to impress this lady friend I had met in Grenada... and did I! THIS is the most romantic place I had taken her to in the whole caribbean. You´ve got fresh sea breezes, wonderful sunrises, bird song and waves, some of the best snorkelling anywhere (right off the front garden beach), spa treatments, and lots and lots of privacy, all wrapped up in a luxurious B&B.
Angela and Leon are exquisite - they really try and do everything to make your stay special. They even shared a huge plate of lobster with us one day for lunch that they bought off a passing fisherman.
The only thing you have to watch out for is their joker of a parrot - can´t remember which one by name, but his favourite trick - and I´m not making this up - is to imitate the sound of their telephone, and then when you look for the phone, start cackling at you in a parrot laugh.
This is a place that makes for great travel memories, and I want to thank Leon and Angela for creating this place.
