My fiance and I were on Roatan for 18 days this past Mar-April 2008 to do some diving. While we stayed the majority of the time in West End, we did a couple overnight trips around the island.
My partner is in to fly fishing, and had planned a day trip with Mango Creek Lodge located in Port Royal (east end of island). I thought this was a good excuse to book myself into a spa for a day!
We grabbed a cab from West End and negotiated a $20 ride to Sante (located near Oak Ridge, accessible by boat from the Parrot Tree Planation).
Sante has three rooms available for overnight guests, and the cost is $95 / night including breakfast. We stayed in the garden room for two nights, and all rooms have A/C, TV with cable and DVDs, fridges stocked with water, juice, coffee and tea, plenty of fresh towels, robes and complementary bug spray and sun screen.
The grounds are beautiful, and there is a small pool to cool off in, a hot tub overlooking the ocean (amazing at night), garden paths, kayaks / snorkelling off shore, and access to Parrot Tree Plantation facilities (i.e. swimming lagoon, etc.).
Angela and Leon were great hosts and made us feel very comfortable in their home. They have a whole bunch of parrots as pets, as well as a few great dogs.
We had dinner here two nights – shrimp and grilled wahoo which were quite good – about $14 per person for a three course meal.
As a bonus, my fiance fly-fished the flats around the grounds and caught the biggest bonefish of the trip about 5 minutes from Sante!
I got a spa package of a one-hour aromatherapy massage, European facial, lymphatic drainage of lower limbs, eye treatment and paraffin wax hand treatment for about $130 (my bday present to myself!). This was a great treatment and Angela is a fantastic esthician.
While I was not being 'treated', I lounged around reading, snorkelling and generally being lazy - a great vacation from our vacation!

Beautiful, serene setting. I had a sports massage after a very active week and it was wonderful! My therapist was very experienced in finding and alleviating my aches. I left refreshed and felt much better the next day-ready to tackle new adventures. I wish I had known about the spa when I planned my trip. I will make it part of my itinerary next time!

We absolutely loved the Sante Wellness Spa. Wish we could have spent more time there. I got a facial, and a week later I can still tell how good it was. My friends got massages and said they felt great! We couldn't help but take lots of pictures there because it's such a gorgeous setting.
The spa is set on a little island. You have to go to Parrot Bay Plantation and then talk into a call box ---they come and get you in a boat. That only adds to the romantic feel of the spa.
If you are going to Roatan, don't miss the spa!
Sante' Wellness Center Day Spa
Found the spa once we arrived in Roatan. Our wives had great massages and we decided to go back for a couples massage later in the week. This is a fun place that can only be reached by a boat. They come pick you up at the dock.
The massage was good. We had it outside in very serene surroundings. We also ate a very good lunch there.
I was suprised when we were charged an extra 2.00 dollars for a soda and an extra 15.00 for my massage because she went longer than she anticipated. This left a bad taste in my mouth after what had been a great experience to that point. We paid it and went on our way.
I had thought I might want to go and stay at the B&B that they have there, but what hidden charges might I find if I did so? Very tacky.

Before any massage is started, we do a brief question and answer
session with all clients to understand better their particular needs and
preferences. After which should the therapists feel, that in order to
render the best therapeutic massage experience, 60 minutes may not be
sufficient, then we suggest extending the massage up to 90 minutes.
Time/scheduling permitting, and if, and only if, If the client agrees then the
massage will be longer. Neither the style of the massage, spa therapy
requested, nor the duration of any spa/massage therapy, is changed
without any clients permission and agreement.
Sales tax will be added to all billing per Honduran Law.
Gratuity is left to the discretion of the client so never added without the clients' instruction to do so.

I wish I knew about Sante while planning our trip. It's perfect for those looking for peace and quiet while on vacation. The grounds are well kept with a panoramic and PRIVATE view of the ocean. We didn't have the opportunity of staying at the B&B but enjoyed an afternoon of spa treatments followed by lunch on the patio. It is an absolutely wonderful location and the ambiance is fantastic. I highly recommend this place to couples looking for a little romance.
