We only stayed for one night in Casablanca and having read a lot of negative reviews for hotels we plumped for a branded hotel.

The hotel was pretty basic. The rooms were acceptable if a little gloomy. The location wasn't wonderful not being close to the station or the sites but was just about walkable to the medina but in fairness we knew that in advance.

The reception service was ok and the bar was pleasant enough if a little dated.

The restaurant though was the real let down. The atmosphere was not great and the service a little inattentive.

Some of the dishes on the menu were not available and it proved difficult to ascertain which ones they were without the waiter having to ask in the kitchen. The food that we had was poor and we both had upset stomachs that night.

In conclusion if we'd avoided the restaurant then our stay would have been ok but there were few restaurants in the vicinity which is why we ate there in the first place.

Rooms of acceptable size and accommodation. Food of acceptable standard. Staff down right rude and unhelpful until tour Rep intervened. Customers advised not to carry passports outside hotel.

I approached this Ramada with a degree of apprehension, given some of the previous reviews. I should not have been so concerned. Granted, it is more a 3 star, not a 4 star hotel but I didn't see the dive some people have complained about! The rooms were average-sized, had the basic requirements I needed. The breakfast was adequate - the usual sort of fare. The dinner (which was included in our tour one night) was perfectly adequate for carnivores - not so for veggies (like me) whose only hot choice was mixed veggies but that aside the salad selection was OK. We had lunch once while waiting for a tour bus and that was quite good. Beware, try to have the correct money in the restaurant. The staff tend to go in a tiz trying to make change!

The rooms were small and the buffet at the restaurant (that was included in our tour package) was sub-standard. The area where the hotel was situated did not feel safe either as it was in a remote part of the city.
