“Delightful Riad Zolah”

Riad Zolah

This Riad is delightful and exquisitely decorated. From the second you arrive to the second you leave, your every need is catered for. The staff are so attentive, special thanks to Jeremy, Ismail and Fatima for making us feel so welcome. The location of the Riad is perfect too, just 5 minutes walk to the main square, but incredibly peaceful.

The place we recommend to go for lunch is The Kosybar, on Place des Ferblantier, lovely food including sushi and fish, great atmosphere and wine. Evening meals are a special experience too. And just around the corner from the Riad is another gem, Cafe Arabe, specialising in pasta if you have had one Tagine too many, and has a beautiful roof terrace that sprays you with a fine mist of cool water to cool you down!!

We would definately come again!

Thanks again!

I've just returned from a weekend at Riad Zolah with five girlie friends to celebrate our thirtieth birthdays. We wanted to do something a little different, but still enjoy some luxury and pampering. Riad Zolah fitted the bill perfectly! On arrival we were offered the drinks and nibbles, and the staff were only too happy to whip up a delicious tagine, from scratch, to satisfy our lunchtime peckishness. We managed to make full use of all the facilities even though it was a flying visit - we had the complete Hammam experience and massage in the on-site spa rooms, drank a small ocean of complimentary peppermint tea, and basked for hours on the roof terrace. Riad Zolah is brilliantly situated within a couple of minutes of the souks, so exploring the city on foot is easy, and the riad was a peaceful retreat to come back to when we needed a break from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. The restaurant recommendations in the room were informative and reliable - we tended to use those more than our guidebook(!) - and the staff were always ready to book tables or taxis. At the end of each day it was a delight to come back to the candlelit courtyard, and then to fall into a comfy bed scattered with rose petals surrounded by stylish Morrocan decor. Delightful!

“Lovely Oasis”

Lovely place to stay in the heart of Marrakesh. We were led through the passageways of old Marrakesh to the door of this Riad by a group of delightful children -- and then walked into this marvelous oasis.

Beautiful suite set up with twin beds, fireplace, charming washroom -- like a dream, with double doors, rich colours, local fttings. Platter of local specialties (nuts, dried fruits) to greet us in the room and a welcome peppermint tea. Breakfast is perfect, served at your own little nook / table in one of the lounges where you can privately and quietly plan your day with fresh juice, morning pastries, a crepe, tea.

Staff was quietly helpful; suggesting restaurants, making reservations, arranging a private day trip (wonderful and affordable!) into the Atlas mountains, private transfer to airport. Internet access was much appreciated. Many lounge areas and rooftop terrace in which to appreciate the gorgeous restoration of the building. Location is great within the old city, spilling out into souks and with easy access (if you're good at mazes) to the central square -- which is amazing in the evening!

A perfect short or long-term base.

Friends stayed inNov 2007 and recommended this to us. We checked out the web site, called Ismail and within minutes everything was booked and confirmed - so easy.

Great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of all else that Marrakech had to offer.

The team at Riad Zolah are superb and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was gorgoues and the rose petals and tea lights were such a welcoming site when we came 'home'each evening.

Relaxing in the sunshine in Riad Zolah is like being on a private oasis with your own private bird sanctuary - the distant call to prayer is a welcome distraction to remind you that there is life beyond those walls.

Our hamman and massage were great and the dinner was delicious.

Book now - that's what we woud say!

“Disappointed!”

We have just returned after staying 4 nights in suite 4. The Riad is lovely but this suite has a flaw.....the bathroom smells of sewage, which isnt nice when you are brushing your teeth! We did mention it but were just given some joss sticks which masked the smell.
It was a real shame as for me that took away from the whole experience.
My advice..if you really want to go, choose another suite!
