Booked one night on short notice through expedia.com for an excellent price (around $50 USD). The decor is cool and modern, but the property seems to not be well cared for and is starting to look a little run-down. Our room had stains on the carpet, and the desk was sticky and had little rings from the previous person's beverages. The shower was mildewy, and the bottles of bathroom products were crusty and had obviously been refilled an reused. It's possible that we just had a bad room, but common areas like hallways also had scratches and dents from luggage. Service was OK, but nothing special.

After leaving Le Fenix we stayed 4 nights at Dream which is only two blocks away. It was nearly double the price but well worth it, based on improved service and cleanliness alone.

It's not that Le Fenix was bad, just that Dream was so much better and showed us what Le Fenix could be if they just cared a little more.

Le Fenix is a hip little hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 11 less than 10 minutes walk from Nana sky train station.
Q Bar is just a few steps around the corner, which you can often hear at a low acceptable volume from your room at night.
The rooms here are a good size, stylish, with flat screen tv, air con, & a very funky tiled bathroom.
The staff at Le Fenix are very friendly & helpful.
Most of the clientele here seems to be young & trendy.
There is a small gym, & a pool overlooking the street.
The bar here is also a cool place to hangout with large windows overlooking the street.
I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

definitely modern, and minimal. staff are friendly. as a recently opened hotel, it is not very clean though. there's stain on tiles.

well, location matters. Bed supper club is just a few steps away. Q is right opposite. There are a couple more nice clubs and decent resturants to check out in the area. Metro is a five- to ten- minute walk. but that is not a concern at all, for you will flag for a cab anyways (it's real cheap).

Le Fenix is a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location - so it ticks all the boxes but somehow leaves you feeling slightly unfulfilled.

We don't normally stay in Sukhumvit, but wanted to be centrally located this trip and near the skytrain. It's a 5-10 minute walk, but far enough back from the main drag to offer peaceful sleep.

The room is adequately sized, the bathroom a little small but perfectly functional and clean. The bed was very comfy and duvet and pillows felt super new and soft. Do watch the corners of the bed or risk bruising your shins. Big TV is great for watching in bed if you have jet-lag and can't sleep.

Breakfast isn't included and seemed a bit steep so we avoided it and also didn't realise the place had a pool as there are no directions to it inside. Likewise the bar looked a little pricey and the wireless internet is at a premium too.My impression is that they are trading on the super sleek image to get people to spend more time (and money) in the hotel. It does look very chic now, but is hard to say how long it will remain so. Given the number of options in Bangkok it will need to stay competitvely priced to attract customers when the modern furnishings begin to fade.
