I stayed here for three nights and can confirm the other positive reviews are right on the money--this is a terrific serviced apartment. At first glance, it seems, as it is set in a business neighborhood, a little out of the way, but it is actually a pleasant 10-minute walk down Convent Rd. to the subway and restaurants, tourist areas, etc. The wonderful BNH Hospital is very close.

My apartment was clean and spacious. The pool was huge and always almost empty the entire time. This place seems to cater very well to both families and single travelers. I found the staff to be very professional.

The only gripe, as others have noted, is that the breakfast buffet is a little ho-hum, but it was enough to start the day. If you need to fill up on beer or other supplies, there is a convenience store just down the street. Unfortunately, the closest supermarkets seem to be a 10-minute walk away, but taxis in BKK are so cheap anyway.

4 of us, wife and myself and in-laws had 2 room/2 bath appt for 4 nights Nov 19th 2007. We had just had a couple of weeks in Chiang Mai, and BKK is much more "full on". Fraser Suites was a great find. It's a bit "corporate" but as we were tourists and not getting up early, we hardly saw anyone else!. The rooms are great and the pool to die for. Breakfast as some other reviewer said was only OK, the choice is limited, but the staff will cook you eggs any way you like them and the coffee/expresso machine is fine. What is best about this place is the location, it is a 10minute walk accross the bridge and along Chapel rd to Pat Pong, and if you come out of the property and turn right, its a gentle 15 minute stroll to Suan Lum night market. What others have said about being about 1000 yards to BTR and the chaos of the traffic is true, but that's BKK for you. The 4 of us paid about £60 combined per night which included breakfast and the cleaner, we had kitchennette. dining area, washing machine and 3 TV's, so I think that is great value for a 2 bed spacious and pretty soundproof appt in what is the main banking and embassy sector of Bankgkok. My only gripe was that they offer free wi-fi, as we were holidaying we were sans laptop and they charged me 200 Baht for 15mins online in their "business" area, which given you get 1 hour anywhere usually for about 40/50 baht was a bit much. However, if we can get a similar deal we will go back and stay there again.

We are group of four friends (mid 20's) on holidays in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Pattaya in November and December 2007.
This was our third time in Bangkok. previous two times we stayed at Lebua Hotel, which was really perfect (5*), with great view, rooms, facilites and service. But after getting a good deal in previous two stays, now the price was 190 USD per room (max three persons) and decided to find another hotel.
I noticed two Fraser Suites in Bangkok looking great on pictures and web site and decided to pick Urbana Sathorn. First I made a two bedrooms apartment (120 sqm) reservation thourgh their web site (8800 THB = 170 euros = 40+ euros per person), but after a few days I found a great deal on www.sawadee.com with 5900 THB (120 euros = 30 euros per person) for the same apartment. I made a new booking through sawadee.com and was hoping everything will be great.
When we come in this apartment complex we were delighted. I am travelling much, stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world and this is among the best accomodation I every stayed in.
It's definetely better than in Lebua and other 5* hotels around the world.
- We had huge 120 sqm apartment on 25th floor. Two rooms, living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, one tub, two showers, two balconies and 3 LCD tvs! The view was spectacular from both balconies. Windows from floor to celling in rooms (view photos). Apsolutely brilliant.
- Apartment complex is having hotel service such as: room service, front desk, groceries delivery...Facilities: great infinity pool, half-basketball court, badminton and squash courts, sauna, spa, jet-pool, restaurant, cafe...
- everything is going smooth here, we even have a party with four girls in room all night and no one complained about us. There is no big crowd here, so it's great for young people and for families. At bargain prices!
- Location: ten to 15 minutes walking to Patpong (nightlife) and BTS train (skytrain), but we always used taxi as it's very cheap. Traffic could be a problem in rush hours, but we were on holidays so we could handle with that.
- In the hotel's garage you have a mini-mart and there is a 7/11 store and gas station just 100 meters off the hotel.
- Area is full of serviced apartments, business towers and embassies (French, German, Malesian...)
- Service is really, really great! Everyone with the smile, but after all this is a land of smile.
Lady on the front desk tells me that people rather choose other Fraser Suites in Bangkok becuase of location, but she said this one is more confortable and nicer.
Now, I am in my room and writing this review. For a few hours we are leaving for Kuala Lumpur and we booked Hilton there. I must admitt I never thought I would be sad to move to Hilton hotel...

I stayed at Fraser Suites with my husband and two children and we were very happy. The apartments are done beautifully, very clean, large, classic design and comfortable. The pool area is nice too. The breakfast was a little ordinary but that didn't really bother me. Service was great. The only downfall is that it is not so close to BTS so you need to take a taxi (if you are with kids especially) and in peak hour you can get stuck not moving for ages.

I would recommend this hotel for families as it really is great value for money and the rooms are lovely.
