I stayed at Park Plaza only 1 night and my friends who have good corporate rate recommned this place. Very reasonable. Hotel location is closed to both skytrain and subway, like 3 minutes walk. They provide free Wifi internet for 24 hours and on 2nd floor, there is small cafe that you can ask for drink (non alcoholic) for free all day long....

Current promo for corporate till end of May is like 65USD a night including breakfast.....what a deal!

Just for info - it's 4 star property and I've heard that the owner of this hotel is also the same owner of other 5 star hotels nearby...so the service and the look of the hotel are high standard.

This is a good hotel, but nothing extraordinary. As other reviewers have noted, it is new and the staff is very pleasant. The rooms are very stylish as well, but not very functional. The bathroom is a 1.5 inch stepdown from the bedroom, ensuring that I have stubbed my toe (badly) twice (first time shame on them, second time, shame on me). There is plenty of room to hang clothes, but apart from a drawer than can't even hold my socks and underwear, there is no dresser space for folded clothes. The "refreshment" cabinet that holds the fridge and the coffee station is tiny--only Nescafe packets are available, no drip coffee (which means I have to buy my morning coffee in the restaurant for $4). I very much appreciate small-but-efficient spaces, but this is small-and-awkward. My overall impression is that this is a nice hotel, but nothing great for the money (with tax about $100/night without breakfast). To end on a positive note, however, the location is great. It is about 100 yds. to the Queen Sirikit complex that has an ideal lake for jogging/walking. It's location is why I booked this hotel, and on this count it does not disappoint.

Brand new boutique hotel – only 7 rooms per floor, two being corners. Get corner room for more space - - corner rooms ending in 01 are better than those ending in 07 IMHO (slightly more room area, better layout, etc). Great natural light – in corner rooms, you get windows on two sides and a window in the bathroom also. Furnishings and design are adequate, but desk chair may make it difficult to work at desk for long time. TV channels are limited – which is not unusual in BKK, including 5-star places. Only non-sports (soccer), non-news English entertainment channel is HBO. The DVD player is a life-saver for those who like to unwind for a couple hours before sleeping. Bathroom is spacious and well-lit, and corner rooms have both showers and bath tubs. Floors are hard-wood and already showing some scratches, hopefully they will be maintained. Otherwise, the rooms are meticulously cleaned.

Staff is very accommodating, quick response time, and seem to want to make a good impression as the hotel is new. Some systems and equipment need to have kinks worked out better over time (3 months in operation when I was here) - - e.g., water heater has problems including fluctuations in temperature during shower, DVD players in different rooms both had problems. Executive lounge has an OK breakfast, decent if you get included in your room but not worth the price to pay separately. The “refreshments” available in the lounge 24-7 are nothing to speak about really – definitely not up to standards of a 5-star lounge, but of course you are not paying 5-star prices here. Free refreshment drinks are only orange and pineapple juice, even soft drinks need to be paid for. Only food is a few jars of OK (not great) cookies and jelly sweets.

Location is pretty nice. One park for jogging a few mins away, and one of my favourite parks just one BTS stop away. A few mins walk to Asok BTS station, which also has a MRT station – extremely convenient for getting around BKK. Pricing will be the key to this hotel’s success, given the abundance of choices in BKK.

Overall, I give this hotel a four-rating here because the great staff help overcome some kinks in the new operating systems at this hotel.

Although this is a new hotel but their service was excellent. This is my first time stay with park plaza. Stayed for 5days 4nights, the front desk staff were very friendly & so helpful in solving all my enquires & problems. They make me feel myself at home, the staff really made my day, greeting you with smile everytime in & out of the hotel. location wise is gd! Near to NaNa & just a few mins walk to Asok BTS skytrain. Loved this hotel service, stongly recommended to all travellers!
