At the end of our cycling tour with a well known company, we stayed here but unfortunately, it's on a busy street, next to two building sites so sleeping was very difficult.

The service at the desk was good but we had to order breakfast with our tour group and thee out of seven tour members didn't get any breakfast before we headed off to the Chu Chi tunnels in the morning.

Let's hope the building construction doesn't happen when you stay there.

Stayed on executive level, the room faced a brick wall, old and unimpressive. The breakfast on the executlve level was nice, has a good selection and a beautiful terrace. But otherwise the room was not interesting. Good location though

The Bong Sen is conveniently located on Dong Khoi. Reception staff is friendly and compentent, unless you have a problem to deal with. We had a room to the backside to avoid the street noise, but that proofed not to be a good strategy, since the aircon units on the outside of the "patio" window were probably louder. Aircon is installed right above the bed, so you have two choices at night: Freeze to death or suffocate of the heat. When we came down somewhat groggy in the morning, breakfast was great, but accompanied by the ear-deafening noise of some construction work in the floor above the breakfast room. After we complained, we got rate reduction, but not before some unpleasant hazzle (including denying that there was construction in the hotel...). The Bong Sen is acceptable, but do not expect too much. We stayed in the cheaper Liberty hotel group and this is certainly not below the Bong Sen standard. However, I cannot say anything about the superior rooms.

SUrprised, we had a room with a view and it was very nice, probably best 3 start place. Be careful of room without view since you will see the inner courtyard and smell the restaurant fumes.
