When you get to this hotel it is fabulous but you will have a bit of a journey from the airport and after we had been delayed by over 2 hrs, our neice (age 7) was completely worn out - that said, so were we!!
Checking in was painless but our room was on the outskirts of the hotel overlooking some waste land and a smelly brook that flowed down to the sea so we couldn't sunbath on it and I gave up even trying to read my book because of the flies.
The hotel itself had great facilities -loads of different pools and you were never left without a bed (leaving towels is not allowed!)
There are two large restaurants offering a good choice of food but not excellent. Although there are some snack bars where you can get the best pizza in the world!
All inclusive ends at 11pm, you will have to pay for items in your mini bar and ice cream for the children is only available between 1pm and 2pm and when you get there, what you get isn't worth waiting for. We ended up paying for icecreams from around the pools. We ended up spending just under £100 for additional bits that I feel should have been included in the price.
If you are considering playing tennis, pool etc make sure you take plenty of money. A game of pool costs £2.50 and you will need to leave a deposit of £50 for the rackets and balls in addition to the £9.00 charge.
Water is difficult to get on the AI! There are small machines within the restaurants that always have a que and the cups are tiny. I ended up buying bottles of water and then trying to fill them up from the machine but others frown on this when they are queing. Even during meal times they will charge for orange juice, some deserts etc!
The pools are great and you will have a different day at each of them. They all have life guards apart from meal times when all of the waterslides around the hotel are turned off.
The kids club was brilliant!! the team there were very friendly and the mini disco was lovely to watch (our niece loved it).
Entertainment is average. The paid acts were good but the entertainment team nights were hit and miss - they have a completely different sense of homour. They have Mondays off!
The entertainment staff will try to be your best friend which I thought was nice at first but then realised that they have so many things to sell to you that their friendship is completely false.
The Aqua park was great - loads to do for the kids and only a little walk from the hotel. I would suggest going a little later than the 10am opening time becuase they always seem to be late and you will only que to get into a park where there are loads of beds!!!!
All in all a great holiday for our niece but I don't think we woud go back.
