considering Israel's short shoreline finding a hotel from which you can hear teh surf is a rarity.
Pleasant simple hotel with ok brekafast big and pelntiful ratehr than gourmet. Graet sea side location with one of israel's best beaches (could be cleaner but was ok).

We have stayed twice at the Nahsholim resort, in 2003 and 2005, and enjoyed it very much. This is a peaceful environment, a family-style destination ideal for a truly relaxing stay on the beach. Nahsholim does not offer a variety of typical resort-type activities for adults or children--rather, it's a place for adults to unwind and for children to play safely in a protected cove. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and the beach is just steps away. I'd give the resort a higher rating than "average" for its overall ambience except that the rooms, while clean, need updating. The double beds are typical for Israel--two cot-size twins with a deep separation between them. Floors are tile and can be cool (bring slippers). Outside, there's plenty of sunshine. The entire resort is single storey, and an ample supply of beach chairs and lounges makes it easy to settle outside your door for sunbathing, reading, or simply relaxing. Perhaps the best part of the deal is the included buffet breakfast, served in the onsite Kosher restaurant, which offers a variety of typical Israeli breakfast items: breads and cheeses, salads, hot dishes, desserts, and a variety of beverages. Nearby you can explore the old glass factory, a failed 19th century enterprise of Baron Rothschild that now houses a small archeological museum. Just above Nahsholim is Tel Dor, of which virtually nothing remains except a few hints of the ancient port of Dor and timeless views of the Mediterranean. At the end of the day, the nearby beachfront seafood restaurant is perfect for an evening meal that features reliable local specialties.
