Tried to book this via hotel website, but it would not let me, so had to do it on telephone to Atlas hotels group. Slighly more expensive than the Atlas website, but no more expensive than the internet hotel agency websites. Loved this hotel for it being comfortable, reasonably priced, with a bit of cultural interest, and right in the middle of things, there is a lovely square with fountain and twice weekly flea market right outside the door. There are acceptable restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Hotel breakfast was good with a wide selection, even got offerred bucks fizz one morning. You could also sit on the roof terrace and graze on the free pastries and soft drinks every evening. No pool, but there is a Jacuzzi, not right on the seafront, but not far from anywhere. Rooms cleaned everyday, and comfortable enough. The only disadvantage was the nearby nightclub. I stayed for 5 nights, and did not notice the noise on the first four, but on the 5th (a Thursday) it went on until 2a.m. a sort of low throbbing beat, which I found quite annoying. There is no double glazing, but as I was on 3rd floor, it did not make much difference, and there is not a lot of traffic right outside the hotel. I asked about the nightclub noise the next morning. I was told that they were not supposed to be so loud. Not much help really! Loved Tel Aviv found it a very freindly city, particularly if you were prepared to acknowledge it's advantages to the locals. People seemed always ready to help and chat. Only place I did not like was the central bus station- which is also the end of the line for the trains. If you are on a train I would get off on one of the two preceding stations, they were fine. Taxis were not too expensive, easy to find and nearly always used the meter as advised. The only taxi drivers I did not like were the ones waiting like sharks outside the central bus station. There they tried it on with overquoting the price a bit.
