“Hated It!”

First and foremost I can't emphasize enough how horrible this hotel was.

I booked this hotel through booking.com. They asked for a review and this is what I sent:

I recently stayed at the Ophir Hotel in Tel Aviv. Your website gave it THREE STARS! I would not recommend anyone's dog to stay there. The rooms were dirty, smelly and in serious disrepair with a much less than courteous staff. There was a mold, dirt, odor, broken and missing fixtures. It was horrible. Email at ogdenre@aol.com and I'll send you pictures.

I will never trust your website's (again, based on booking.com) recommendations again. The only way the Ophir could have gotten a three start review is if your site is owned by the Ophir.

In addition to that, upon arrival, the clerk charged us more than the agreed-upon/booked rate.

All in all I'd rate it less than zero on a scale of one to ten.

    • Liked — Nothing, it was filthy
    • Disliked — Everything, dirty, disrepair, broken light fixture, no cover over vent, front desk controlled room temp. Dreadful experience.

we had to overnight in tel aviv before a morning flight. location is excellent, right in the center on with great shopping and restaurants nearby, it was a pretty bare bones place. rooms very small and in not in g eat shape. as long as you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head it is okay, but do not base a holiday out of this place.

“Avoid this awful Hotel”

This is an absolutely terrible hotel which I could not recommend to anyone. Firstly, the staff are rude, unhelpful and actually seem annoyed that guests are staying there. Secondly, our room was dirty and smelly. There were cockroaches in the bathroom which was not a pleasant experience. Thirdly, there was little service. After our second night, no one came to clean or tidy the room. Fourthly, the small breakfast was poor. On our last day, we went to breakfast but were told it had been cancelled for that day! Finally, the room description that the hotel advertises is false. There is no mini bar, fridge, coffee making facilities in the rooms.
In short avoid this dreadful hotel like the plague. It is quite possibly the worst place I've ever spent money on staying in.

unfortunately the guest who made the review decide to give uncorrect picture of the hotel.
1) our staff are friendly and helpfull at any time!
2) there was an event of cockroach that fly in from outside, and take care of emmidietly by the staff,i would like to mention that on july we made the necessary needs to avoid any bugs.
3) we clean everyday! the rooms.
4) we serve continental breakfast+,as soon that we finish the renevetion of the cafe/resturant,we will serve full breakfast and fb on demamnd.
5) on the day that we cancelled the breakfast,we send the guests to a cafe nearby the hotel for full breakfast on our account.
6) we do have mini fridg in all the rooms, the guest forgote to mention that he recived a nice discount for the event with cockroach, but still he wanted bigger discount without any logik, when we refuse to give him more discount,he told us,that he will do what he did.
