I stayed at the 4 Seasons for two nights. Next time I will probably try the Faisalliah (which fellow travellers recommended) but the 4 Seasons was more convenient to our business meetings. The room was big but the decor was quite bland. The toilet also got stopped up and I had to call a plumber - twice... not what one expects in one of the best hotels in Riyadh. The food and room service were good and the staff were excellent - I can not fault the staff. It just seemed like the small things that one expects from 4 Seasons were not there - the quality of the products in the bathroom were not up to par as compared to a Shangri-La or even a Conrad. I guess this is how Prince Waleed (part owner) makes his money - scraping on the small stuff.
The gym facility is excellent but it might - I am not certain - be male only. Lots of good weights and running machines. The pool was also good sized. If you don't mind paying top rates in Riyadh for a so so decorated hotel with great views and very good staff (and the restaurants are decent) then stay here - the kids will like the pool and the adjacent shopping mall with kids play area.
