“The pearl of the Gulf??????What a joke!!!!!!!!!”

We spent only one night in this hotel in our way back to Amman, with Gulf Air.
The room was dirty, there were no towels in the bathroom( which badly needs repair), there was a termos with warm water. The room was dark and some lights were burned.
Even if the room was booked by our travel agent 2 weeks prior they gave us a room with 2 beds; when we asked for another room the reception said that they are fully booked and "suggested" that we can move the beds; yes, I went in a holiday to move beds in their " 4 star hotel"!!!!!!!!
There was no hairdrier in the bedroom ,and since we came from a long flight we needed a shower: The reception explained us that we can get one only in the morning, that the person in charge with the storage room comes to work only in the morning!
We had dinner and breakfast at Cafe Sayah; the food was ok I guess but cold and the sweets were melted.
So I reccomend travellers to stay away from this hotel; we had such a nice holiday in Malaysia , but the last day was spoiled by the saty at this hotel.

“A flying visit thankfully”

Due to our flight out of Bahrain being cancelled, Gulf Air kindly offered us a reservation at this hotel as a day guest. The hotel is located right in the City Centre with the Gold Souq approx. 20 steps from the front of the hotel. It is an Arabian 'old' style hotel - quite a number of years old and dated inside although you could say it had character.. The reception area is relatively pleasant although the staff could do with a lesson in customer service. Corridors to the rooms are huge and the rooms themselves are not overly small but they are dark, mainly due to the dark furnishings. We had a balcony which was approx 12" deep( yes a foot). It seemed adequately furnished with tv, mini bar etc, the bathroom too was a decent size but it really was not clean at all.

We had lunch at the hotel which was a buffet and had a good selection but again the staff really do need to be instructed on customer service.

Had I been staying here for the duration of our break in Bahrain - would I have found the accommodation adequate? No. The location was good but the fact that the bathroom was so yuk - although I guess that could have been sorted would have actually spoilt our break.

The rest of the hotel looked clean enough but unless you simply want someone to sleep for the evening - and don't plan to use the bathroom, I would give it a miss.

“Not good value for money”

Delmon International Hotel

I spent a night there on business because there were no 5 star hotels available in Bahrain that night. Although the hotel is at a very central location, it needs rennovation. I had to ask reception 3 times before they delivered some water at my room.

At the ground floor there are 4-5 clubs to cater mostly for the w/e visitors from neighbouring countries. Although my room was on the second floor at the other side of the hotel, I could clearly hear the music till 2 am.

I would not go back there. Compared to the Dubai 4 star hotels there was no comparison in terms of value for money.
