I stayed for one night in this well-located and comfortable hotel. The public areas are of the usual high 4 star or low 5 star standard. The Italian restaurant is very good.

The rooms are good in terms of the bedding, internet access and general comfort. However, the bathrooms need to be updated, as the one I had was showing signs of wear.

My wife and I stayed here for ten nights. We wanted an Hotel in town, but with vacation facilities. Le Royal, met all our needs--friendly and helpful staff (reception, servers and concierge personnel) all great. The only problem is they are not adequately supported by the Management!! We found it incredibly difficult to find out what was going on in the Hotel. Indeed one evening we stumbled into L'Opera, to find a fantastic seafood buffet/bbq--no publicity!! I contacted the Duty Manager and asked him to put some form of board up in the foyer--he said he would write to the "GM" (General Manager!!) Next day I bumped into the Financial Controller--told him, he said he would tell the GM!! So I wrote to the GM as well! The last full day we were there, we did our packing in the morning so we could spend our last remaining hours around the pool. When we arrived at the pool, we were informed it was closed for a Toyota Corolla Launch party. We made a fuss, and were allowed to stay. The Launch team were very apologetic and sympathetic, but no response from the GM (who I Called and left a message--he was at a meeting!). So a wonderful vacation was almost spoiled by complete incompetence. And for the record, several business travelers were somewhat miffed that they could not swim outside and had to use the inside pool. Dont mean to sound like a Victor Meldrew, but it really teed me off--paid for it, can't use it, no one offers an alternative or even thinks to. So be aware here.

Stayed twice now at Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi. Good location for business trip to City Centre. Attentive staff and well equipped rooms. Easy to arrange car/taxi. Hotel restaurant was quiet and discrete. The Irish Pub was noisy and chaotic for an off-line evening. The poolside area and buffet made a good venue for an informal business lunch.

This is a standard business hotel. The service was great.

However we stayed in the old tower, so the bathroom was a little run-down for a 5 * hotel.

The bedroom itself is okay, nothing special.
