“very relaxing”

Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna

My husband and I have just returned after a week at the Danat Resort. We had an excellent time. The hotel is a bit of a drive from Abu Dhabi airport- approx 2 hours. However, the roads are really good so it is a very comfortable journey. We stayed in a seabreeze room with balcony. The room was big and had excellent facilities. Fruit and a newspaper were delivered each day. We spent most of the time down on the beach. The sand is really soft and the sea is very clear and shallow. The staff bring cold towels and fruit to you on the beach. The food in the hotel was excellent with lots of choice. Staff very friendly and the hotel is extremely clean. Hiring of sports equipment is very reasonable. There isn't really much to visit in the area so it is definitely a hotel for relaxing.

“Paradise in the middle of nowhere”

Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna

I wanted to spend my birthday getting some sun, and doing nothing too much except enjoy some nice food in pleasant surroundings. And I did just that. We have just returned from a 5 day stay in Paradise - did nothing but spend our days on the beach taking leisurely walks along it and out into the incredibly clear, shallow waters. The hotel is quite a distance from Abu Dhabi but well worth the drive.
Our Deluxe Sea view room, which happens to be the most basic on offer, was large, very clean, superbly comfortable and we had tea & coffee making facilities with fesh fruit & newspapers every day.
It epitomised what we expect from a 5 star 'bathrobe and slippers' hotel. Breakfast - vast choice to suit all tastes.
Lunch - either by the beach, the pool or at the main restaurant was excellent with a good range of choices.
Dinner - we don't normally eat buffet - but we tried it on the first night and both of us had a great meal. The 2 other restaurants were wonderful but be warned if you eat down at the beach - so do the mosquitos. (The only time we were bitten). Try the lobster or prawns grilled with lemon and garlic, fried rice and a range of Indian breads. In the Zaitoun I was presented with a birthday cake, served up by a group of staff singing 'Happy Birthday' accompanied by the resident musician playing his guitar. My husband did not ask for this - it was a surprise from the hotel. When we left we were presented with a CD with photos - including personalised ones of us when the cake was presented to me on my birthday.
I normally have a manicure/pedicure/ facial when on holiday but had to opt for a wonderful massage as the beautician had been called away on emergency leave - they ought to have some form of back-up for this type of situation. This was literally the only 'problem' we encountered.
We had to have a 3am alarm call on our last day - the hotel provided coffee, croissants, toast and pastries to the room at 3.15 - no additional charge.
The staff smiled all the time. They could not do enough to help and went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed and relaxed. We tipped but felt that it was not expected or assumed. I am now about to look at dates to return some time next year.
If what you want is what I stated in my forst sentence then this is the place.

This is a wonderful place, with beautiful structures and very good services.
The rooms and the chalet are very confortable and there are all that one person need, they are always clean and tidy up!
The hotel offer a various opportunity for free time: the swimming pool is very beautiful, the beach is clean and there is the choise to do some sport (tennis, mountain bike, beach volley and gym).
The three restaurant are beautiful and with a good quality and variety of food (I`m italian and for us this is very important)!

In general is a good place and in the future I would like come back for holiday!

Thank you for your attention.

“Hope to be back soon!”

We celebrated our first anniversary in this hotel. My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend getaway and chose to stay here. We had a lovely time! We stayed for 2 nights from 24th May. Its a 2 hour drive from Dubai, not bad considering that we need to stop in the petrol station just right after Jebel Ali to have some food before we continued our journey.

We had a very relaxing weekend! The beddings are great. The restaurant - Zaitoun is really good as well as the seafood restaurant right on the beach where we had our dinner. We used their tennis court which is quite huge. Swimming pool is a bit crowded though as it was the weekend, the beach is really lovely and the service superb!

We can't wait to go back. Hopefully when the Sir Bani Yas Island is open and when the weather is not as scorching hot as it is now.

I will definitely recommend this hotel :)

“Great Hotel”

Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna

5 Star hotel in the middle of nowhere… great for a mid week break, but go there on the weekend and its choka with families…
The Room was nice and big, great view of the sea\beach, great bathroom, all the little touches are in there.
We ate in the main restaurant which is buffet, for breakfast and one evening meal – I thought it was overpriced, the food was ok and the variety was good, but every dish had a sauce over it.
We also ate in the restaurant at the back of the hotel – I can’t remember the name – but it was great!!! The service was good, the food excellent, great atmosphere, great price…
There are also 2 restaurants outside, one is on the beach, but it was too hot to stay outside to eat, we just had a few drinks watching the sunset.
The beach is huge, the sea, once you get there (you’ll know what I mean if you ever go) is lovely and clear.
The service around the pool and beach is good, however for the amount of staff they have I would have expected them to walk the beach and around the pool area more asking if people want drinks, you have to try and get there attention which is not always easy… But saying that, the staff did come over mid morning and offer you ice cold face cloths, and fruit – nice touch.
The pool I have to admit is awesome – separate area for kids, nice swim up bar area, enough room for everyone and more.
They also have an extensive gym in which you can have a full workout, there are many machines, they have 2 squash courts, table tennis, aerobics classes and also a full spa, for massages, facials etc, which you can have on the beach as they have 3 areas already set up for this…
We didn’t do any of the day trips and were told the boat trip to the island has stopped as there is building works on it…
As the hotel is expensive I would wait for the hotel to have there special deals, normally during the summer, when it’s really hot…
