5 Star hotel in the middle of nowhere… great for a mid week break, but go there on the weekend and its choka with families…
The Room was nice and big, great view of the sea\beach, great bathroom, all the little touches are in there.
We ate in the main restaurant which is buffet, for breakfast and one evening meal – I thought it was overpriced, the food was ok and the variety was good, but every dish had a sauce over it.
We also ate in the restaurant at the back of the hotel – I can’t remember the name – but it was great!!! The service was good, the food excellent, great atmosphere, great price…
There are also 2 restaurants outside, one is on the beach, but it was too hot to stay outside to eat, we just had a few drinks watching the sunset.
The beach is huge, the sea, once you get there (you’ll know what I mean if you ever go) is lovely and clear.
The service around the pool and beach is good, however for the amount of staff they have I would have expected them to walk the beach and around the pool area more asking if people want drinks, you have to try and get there attention which is not always easy… But saying that, the staff did come over mid morning and offer you ice cold face cloths, and fruit – nice touch.
The pool I have to admit is awesome – separate area for kids, nice swim up bar area, enough room for everyone and more.
They also have an extensive gym in which you can have a full workout, there are many machines, they have 2 squash courts, table tennis, aerobics classes and also a full spa, for massages, facials etc, which you can have on the beach as they have 3 areas already set up for this…
We didn’t do any of the day trips and were told the boat trip to the island has stopped as there is building works on it…
As the hotel is expensive I would wait for the hotel to have there special deals, normally during the summer, when it’s really hot…
