“Great people at Nubia Nile Hotel”

We stayed here in May for a couple days while in Aswan. It is a few blocks from the train station, and within handy walking distance to the market and the Nile. The room was clean, had TV, fridge and A/C, the prices of drinks from the fridge in the lobby and souvenirs had very reasonable prices. Our favorite drink – cold Hibiscus tea – was the best we ever tried. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and always willing to give assistance without pushing or soliciting for tips. I would recommend this hotel and his general manager Hussein Abd Allah to anybody who is looking for a nice comfortable hotel for a reasonable price.

“Close to the station”

This hotel is in a great location, being a stones throw from the train station and the Nile.

When we arrived, they were in the final stages of finishing the newly added 4th floor. We were staying on the 4th floor, which was brand new - Sellophane still on the lamp shades!

Our air-conditioning was not working correctly, so we moved rooms. The hotel staff were extremely friendly in accommodating our move.

Our new room was nice, with airconditioning and a good bathroom, albeit a little on the small side.

The drinks cabinet was good value compared to the local shops.

A short walk to Aswan Market and also close to the cash machine.

We stayed here for a few days while in Aswan. It is very close to the train station, and within handy walking distance to the beautiful markets. We were a bit depressed when coming into our room, it was very small. Our bathroom was TINY and the shower was broken, the hot water coursed out of the bottom bath tap onto your feet, while a cold dribble came from the top shower tap onto your head. You had to walk sideways past the shower to make it to the toilet!

We had a 'balcony room', the balcony was covered in dust and adjoined to a space between the building and the next building, which was piled with rubbish that spilled onto the balcony. It is located on a busy street, above a couple of food shops where large groups of kids hang out jabbering away, their voices really started to grate on me after a few hours!!

The room was clean and the staff very friendly, the prices of drinks from the fridge very reasonable. The hotel manager really came through for us when our tour guide 'disappeared' and organised the tour for us instead (for a tip, of course!).

    • Disliked — The bathroom.

“Good Budget Hotel with helpful Staff”

The staff is what make this hotel a stand out. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always willing to give assistance to guests, whether is advice on sight seeing, booking trips to Abul Simbal or where to eat & shop. English is widely spoken & no one was rude or pushy.

I became good friends with the Managers Hussien & Nassar. Together they were able to book me a 3 day boat cruise to Luxor at a fantastic price.

The hotel has a restaurant that serves really good food. The waiter there was also really nice, his name is Walid or VW i think is his nickname.

It was a comfortable hotel ideal for a single girl to stay in and I felt safe the whole time I was there.

I also like that the rooms have TVs, fridges and A/C.
