We stayed here for a few days while in Aswan. It is very close to the train station, and within handy walking distance to the beautiful markets. We were a bit depressed when coming into our room, it was very small. Our bathroom was TINY and the shower was broken, the hot water coursed out of the bottom bath tap onto your feet, while a cold dribble came from the top shower tap onto your head. You had to walk sideways past the shower to make it to the toilet!
We had a 'balcony room', the balcony was covered in dust and adjoined to a space between the building and the next building, which was piled with rubbish that spilled onto the balcony. It is located on a busy street, above a couple of food shops where large groups of kids hang out jabbering away, their voices really started to grate on me after a few hours!!
The room was clean and the staff very friendly, the prices of drinks from the fridge very reasonable. The hotel manager really came through for us when our tour guide 'disappeared' and organised the tour for us instead (for a tip, of course!).
