A two week holiday covering the Chrismas and New Year period was spoilt by the lack of care for guests. We were half board and only had the evening meal on three occassions due to the same food each and every night despite complaining. The last night the restaurant was closed as the hotel were staging a special evening for non residents and no alternate or notice was given to he current guests. The rooms are shabby, the towels grey as were the bed sheets. We think the towels may have been changed once as was the bedding, we think! The carpets were not cleaned , nor was the room generally the whole time of our stay. Out of the total staff there was probably only one that we can stay was helpful and efficient. The others did not respond to requests and occassionally did after the third time. 2 hours to wait for a pot of tea we think was the standard.
We are seasoned travellers and have been to Egypt a number of times. This has not put off coming back to Egypt, but no way will Tutotel wil ever see us again!

I just returned from Luxor on 15 November, and have also been a lot of times. However, this was my first venture into the Tutotel and it will be my last. The rooms were small, the swimming pool was more like a dip pool, the cups for tea and coffee had chips in them (not cracks, chips), no great choice for breakfast, and unlike other hotels I have stayed in during my tri annual visits to Luxor, no-one either served me or poured my tea or coffee.

On the up side, the staff were friendly enough, and the guy who cleaned my room was very pleasant.

Tutotel is a cozy hotel. From the moment I entered I met helpful receptionists, and relax atmosphere, specially at the end of my stay when the manager of the hotel took me to the airport when I missed my transportation. I will return very soon!.

The hotel, in my opinion should be upgrade to four stars. Although looks old, is very elegant and warm at the same time.

I was in bed and breakfast but I took dinner several days, it was good as the breakfast. Needs only fresh fruit, but I could take cereals, and fantastic omelettes. Also I use the room service (very cheap), and this made me feel that I was really on holidays. The pizzas are delicious, specially the pizza “funghi”.

In one occasion, I went to the disco and found one gorgeous belly dancer making more enjoyable my stay. I felt free in all the places inside the hotel, something that you miss when you are walking at the streets outside. Even I found better prices in the shops in the hotel than in the bazar of Luxor.

The rooms are large, but the minibars are out of order, with TV and big balconies.

The most comfortable place it was the swimming pool, due to the fantastic views and the calm. The sun’s really hot in the morning , lovely.

I would definitely recommend Tutotel mainly for the excellent staff.

having been to luxor 33 visits and stayed at many hotels i would not recommend this hotel.
food is appalling,rooms are ok-ish.
the disco is a bit seedy.
i could write a lot about the management but it would get deleted.
