We were in Mara Safari Club during our honeymoon trip and the 4 days experience was great. We went by plane from Nairobi to Masai Mara, it is comfortably and fast.
Very good services, much better then in a lot of places from Europe, very nice people and a lot of care for details.
We stayed in a tent, of course with a matrimonial bed and we really enjoyed the experience of sleeping near the hippos, hearing the nature every night and waking up with the coffee to your „tent’s door”.
We managed to see the „big five” in the first 2 days and see them again in the next days. You should not miss the visit to the Masai tribe because it is amazing, you get into a different world and have the chance to see how they live their life in the middle of the nature with almost no connection to the world outside.
The food is great and people are the best. It can be the only place that after a few years you still remember your driver’s name. Thank you William!

Be aware that while the Mara Safari Club is a beautiful property, tents are luxurious and staff very nice, the location is far from the reserve on very, very, bad roads. Yes, you can see lots of game, but you must drive quite a way to do so. It takes an entire day to get to the Mara River to see the crossing, on mud tracks that are full of huge potholes and bumps. Other than the location, the Mara Safari Club is great, but I will stay inside the park next time I go.

We have done lodges before. but tented beats them. The whole thing was wonderfull, the food was excellent. We saw the "big five" in one day, even when we had heavy rain it was like having a 4x4 experience. I can say there was nothing we did not like. The safari was booked in diani, from D. M. tours.

What can I say - we went on a 3 day safari, myself, my partner and our 11 year old son. What a fantastic experience made even more special by our guides/drivers, Joseph and Ashford who found the big 5 for us and so much more including Hyena during the day and at night which particularly impressed Connor, our son. Joseph and Ashford were full of knowledge which they shared with us with good humour. We stayed in a "tent" how luxurious this was - 2 king size beds and a single bed, on the banks of the river where the hippos played happily outside our door. Peter and the other staff could not have looked after us any better from our cup of tea (and hot chocolate for Connor) at 6a.m. delivered to our tent before going on our early morning safari to hot water bottles in our beds after dinner, An experience never to be forgotten and I hope to be repeated. I hope you are lucky enough to have Joseph and Ashford as your drivers - they are stars. I cannot recommend this highly enough for family and individuals alike
