I was in Mombasa for several days on business and then decided to stay over for a bit of a rest. The Reef Hotel provided me with a great place to relax and feel good. The hotel remains as a good memory for me. Hope to go back again soon.
My booking was done by some friends from Mombasa so I was like family when I checked in.

Had the best holiday for years, and we are well travelled, cn't wait to go back!! Hotel clean, rooms cleaned daily, beds clean and comfortable, nothing too much trouble. When we arrived our room had only a double bed, 2 pillows, no fridge, went down to reception, asked for another bed ( too hot to cuddle up) extra pillows & fridge, all delivered within half an hour! Pools clean, staff attentive, (find Kenneth, best waiter ever, a lovely gentleman, who looked after us all holiday, tell him Polly& Paul recommended him!)
Food was excellent , evening entertainment excellent, just go there you will love it !! We didn't want to come home!!!!!

We are von Germany,we booked the hotel by Hotel site.Our first experience was Terrible!we had to wait for 1 hour to get our Room ready hence we had booked some weeks earlier.they have very Unfriendly Staff.Expecially the waiters(namely Caroline and Josphat),they are Rude,Arrogant,Slow,and very Much indesciplined.Especially to German Tourists,when you are in All Inclusive or Halpension,they expect to be given Money throughout!.The animation Team lucks Life!I WOULD ADVICE ALL THE GERMAN TOURIST TO AVOID THIS HOTEL.

We booked this hotel through SNCF. The package included 2 days safari and then 4 days at Reef Hotel. The safari went very well but on the 3rd day we were "droped" at Reef. The hotel needs serious restoration works and the room/bathroom was VERY DIRTY. One may not relax in the beach which is just in front of the hotel without being harassed by the "beach boys" - guys that stick with you for the whole time offering lousy services (pls avoid them - they can not offer any insurance). We were therefore obliged to stay at the swimming pool (no need to go to Kenya to do that). Be also carefull when you sign the bill to your room number. We were charged twice or more for drinks or snacks that we never took. I do not recommend this hotel at all.
