“Musty and nasty.”

I usually like boutique hotels because of its cozy atmosphere, great service and nice interiors....well, it definitely does not apply to Land Fortune Hotel. No matter that the place is newly opened, it is absolutely dater and dirty inside. The decorations are not as vibrant and stylish as on the pictures, stuff speak very little English, check in and check out takes eternity, and it is not as close to the metro as they say. Single room I had was pretty ugly and it smelled, looked and felt very old, table lamp did not have a bulb, and handle on the shower door was broken. The sound traveled pretty good through all of the hotel, you can hear your neighbor whisper two rooms ways. Right near the kettle there were what they called personal intimate lotion, vibrating condom and shaving kit.
I would never recommend Fortune Land Hotel to anybody.

“My second time”

This was my second time back, so the unusual decor was not a surprise. The lobby had some additional pink and green lights on the ceiling. The restaurant had been moved upstairs, but I didn't try it. The pool was still closed, but the workout room open. There's a massage place on the first (second to Americans) floor. The room was comfortable, the internet worked great, and the staff was friendly. In fact, I was stunned to run into a fellow named Grand (maybe the assistant manager) in the lobby who remembered me, and even the room number I stayed in the previous time, several months earlier! Business seemed to be good, both business people and families. My next door neighbor seemed to be having an all night party, but the room was soundproofed enough (or I was tired enough to be out cold) so as not to bother me. It was strange that nearly every staff member had a name badge that said "Trainee" (other than the aforementioned Grand) and while some of the front desk staff seemed a little tenative, service was generally good. I'd stay there again.

“Wonderful staff, unique decor”

Fortune-Land International Hotel

I stayed here in March and the staff were great. The concierge went out of his way to help with maps, directions, taxis, etc. The rooms are spotless and very modern. The whole hotel has been recently renovated and it's off the main road and very quiet. You can be at the Forbidden City in 20 minutes by metro. Good for single travelers, couples, business folks. There were families with kids staying there while I was there as well.
