This hotel is located right near Nathan and Canton Rds which are the main shopping areas of HK. It's also right beside an area full of restaurants and bars, not far from the ferry or the Airoport Express train terminal etc.
The hotel itself is pretty ok, the staff is friendly enough without being fantastic. The shower etc was fine, the amenities ok, internet charges a little high and bed a little hard, but overall pretty good value for money and great location.

This is not one of the best hotels I've stayed in but for the price and location it is definitely good enough!

Close to all the shops (7-Eleven literally nxt door)
Walking distance to every tourist attraction in Kowloon (providing you're a walker and don't mind taking in the views and sights along your walks. We walked all the way up to Prince Edward, Ladies Market and Argyle Centre and didn't even know we'd gone that far! Took about 20 mins but you don't need to since the MTR is so close)

Overall, I would definitely stay in this hotel again only because of it's LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! I loved having the MTR so close. Otherwise, the bathroom is so-so - (in need of a renovation). The rooms were nice and clean though. The free breakfast wasn't too crash hot but it was edible. (there's a DeliFrance 3 doors down). The staff weren't rude or overtly courteous and friendly - I guess I would say they're just Hong Kongkers. Compared to other places I've stayed before in Asia were the staff would ALWAYS greet you regardless of who they were and what they were doing, I've found that people in Hong Kong generally just left you alone.

If you can put up with the above, then this hotel would be ok for you too!

We are never going back to GDH!

We asked for directions from the Concierge three times (to Hilton Tower, to Elements Mall and to HMV Video outlet) and three times we were given WRONG directions!

We asked for (water) dipper because the comfort room did not have a bidet, we were given a teaspoon! We asked for toilet paper, we were given bath towels!

For a SERVICE establishment catering mostly to foreigners, none of the staff we met was conversant in English. Worse, they were absolutely uncaring. We did not receive any greeting in the several days we were there.

The entire hotel staff is in urgent need of a crash course in English and in hospitality.

The Guangdong Hotel is a business class hotel with bland decoration but with a comfortable environment. The rooms were a good size but we struggled fitting in two large rucksacks so they wouldn’t get in the way. The bed was very, very hard but we were used to fairly hard beds so we were OK. A TV is in the room with many channels with only some in English but a desk and power points are provided for use, with good lighting throughout the room. The hotel is very clean with little clutter.

The bathroom was kitted out well with good complimentary gifts including a comb, slippers and a razor. The bath is quite small but the shower was very good and the bathroom was clean. The room also has a safe and a LAN internet connection with a good speed.

The service was very good and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

For:
- Everything worked and was in good condition
- The service was excellent
- Access to ADSL internet in room for small fee (GBP8 for 24 hrs)
- Good location right in Tsim Sha Tsui for tourist attractions a
- MTR is a minute away
- We got a business paper delivered each morning even though we hadn’t asked for one.
- The bathroom has a heated mirror for your convenience.

Against:
- Those used to quite soft beds would struggle.
- Even when the air condiditoning was off, cold air was being pumped into the room for circulation around the building making the room quite clean
- The breakfast isn’t very good (and not included in the rate) but there are a variety of other places to go, including a Delifrance on the corner of Prat Avenue and Chatham Road South.
