We stayed there 3 nights with 2 rooms and we felt that it's without air in all of 2 rooms. We had to open window and it become okay and better. Inside of 2 rooms were not smell of cigarette. We stayed 3 people in a room and extra bed couldn't sleep. The elevator always strong cigarette smell everydays as well as no smoking written. The size of rooms are small and narrow. Water's also some smell but it's so good strong. Service is okay and location is good to close with Jordan station MTR.

I have had a bad experience while at Hong Kong recently and I can't helped but felt cheated by the tour agent!

When we booked the tour package at our home country, we were told that Chung Hing was a 3-star hotel, and the tour agent knows perfectly well that we were travelling with a young child.

We were not prepared for the state the hotel was in! When the lift door opens at the floor where our allocated room was situated (15th Flr, I think), we smelt an unpleasant stench. There were also dried watermarks and patches all over the green carpet, looked as though the building had just been hit by a storm. We bravely went into our room, and what greeted us were very strong stale cigarette smell!

We then went to the lobby counter and requested for a change of room. We told them that there were stench on that level and the room smelt of stale cigarette, which I found unacceptable as I have a young child with me. I requested for non-smoking room and was told that there were none! The service staff then gave us a change of room to level 9. Though it was slightly better on this floor (at least I wasn't greeted with that same stench), but the state of room was the same. There was even a falling ceiling board next to the door. The stale cigarette smell was unbearable. Believe me, both my husband and I developed a headache after awhile and we worried for our young child. What do you think we did? Yes, you guessed right! We fled the hotel and booked ourselves into another, after much trouble and time wasted, of course.

Though the condition of the hotel was unbearable, I must say the service staff and cleaning staff were great. They were prompt to respond to our request. I can tolerate the old furniture and fixtures in hotel room, but I find stale cigarette smell most unbearable! Not to mention "unhealthy".

To be very frank, it was a shock to me as I have never seen such a 3-star hotel in countries which I travelled to. If the hotel is interested in reaching out to international tourists, I would suggest that they first spend some money to upkeep the place.
