Stayed in Sari Pan Pacific from 3rd - 7th July 2007, booked thru local travel agent. The price is cheaper at Rp580,000 for a double superior inclusive of breakfast for two.

I'm a frequent Sari Pan Pacific hotel guest and would feel that the level of service from the housekeeping and front desk have improved tremendously.

The room is average, quite big with tired looking carpet and bed. Don't like the pillow. They shoud change the pillow.

The bathroom is ok, a bit small. Housekeeping is good, they let me keep the iron and iron board throughout my stay at the hotel.

The front office desk were fantastic. They tried very hard to entertain my request to change for a non-smoking room. The duty manager, Dolan, was very helpful and thumbs up for him.

The breakfast was average. After four nights, i'm tired with the food selection. Not too many varieties and the staff at the egg station was poor. Didn't attentive enough.

The spa was cool with its 24 hrs service.

Overall, its quite good hotel.

Not recommended at all. Service was good, but the bathroom smells like public toilet. I guess I was in the old tower, how do I know that if the agent wouldnt tell us. Anyway, I chose the hotel because it was in a business central. Food was amazingly tiny and expensive. But breakfast was great. The hotel is just across Plaza Indonesia, great Branded shops but last season collection. For the same price, I rather choose Alila or pay extra to stay in Mulia hotel.

Stayed here between 6 - 10 September 2006. The rooms were quite comfortable and clean but the furniture and the carpet needs to be replaced as it is worn out. The hotel is located on the busy Thamrin Road but just avoid the peak hours you should be fine. It is adjacent to a small shopping mall, where you could find some shops to browse around.

The staff there are friendly and attentive but due to high number of occupancy the lobby is always full of people. Unfortunately, the swimming pool is small and there is no children pool so everyone cramps up in the same pool.

I booked a room for three nights via the hotel site which was US 95 per night, on arrival I saw the room which was very small and dirty - there was a large stain on the bed headboard and stains on the carpet. I went back to the reception and asked for a better and larger room and offered to pay more, I was given a Pacific room at US 125 per night, the room was big but very grubby - lots of stains on the carpet and furniture. I had use of the exec lounge on the top floor but as you could not ware shorts up there so didn’t go. The whole hotel is in desperate need of a major refit/refurbishment the public areas and corridors are very run down, the exterior of the building looks like it was designed by a butcher not an architect.

There is an Irish bar on the ground floor which was ok, good friendly staff, world sport on TV and live music, but - is it expensive, 2 draft beers were US 20.

Finally beware of the add on charges – room tax and service charges added US 26 per night to my bill making the room cost US 151, per night, for this amount I could have stayed in luxury in Jakarta.
