First I will talk about the Hotel itself,

- The hotel is clean.

- Lobby has nice atmosphere but small.

- Location is FANTASTIC. (close to the Airport and other malls as well).

- I tried Hotel breakfast which I couldn't eat the next day....Doesn't match my taste, No way. ( I had had many problems with food in Indonesia). Usually stick with 1 meal all day.

- Blue Bird taxi on stand by. ( what I like about the doorbell was he gave me everytime a piece of paper when I order a taxi, What is on that paper, Taxi tag number and Ciputra Hotel address and phone numbers).

- Internet cost inside the business center around Rp 60,000 for 1 hour.

Business center opens from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and help guests:
- Train timetable.
- Reconfirm reservations.
- Internet access.

Now let's talk about Room:

1- First room stayed at was # 1432 smoking ... PLEASE don't take it even if the hotel fully booked unless you don't care about the room cleanliness, carpet burned all over, furniture age around 100 years and bathroom doesn't work very well.

2- After complaining I moved to Room # 1110 non-smoking floor (by the way i am not smoker). This room was FANTASTIC (no comments).

3- After 4 days in Bandung I came to Jakarta and stayed again at Ciputra Hotel Room # 1527, Also this one was FANTASTIC (no comments).

4- In all rooms water color is not clear in bathrooms .... I don't know what was it.

Now outside the Hotel:

* Ciputra Mall is really nice place to hang out, it has everything a person needs and the most thing I liked in the Mall, was SOMKING is not allowed.

- Money exchange offer good prices so don't forget to visit it.

- Internet acces is in the Mall and imagine the price ....
1 hour = Rp 8000 ---- Hotel 1 hour = Rp 60,000
So if you go to the mall you will save Rp 52,000 WoooW

- Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Breadtalk are there if you care.

- Fresh Juice lovers will be happy because there are 2 stores offering healthy fresh juice (no sugar nor water).

We have stayed at Hotel Ciputra a couple of times since last year - our last visit was last week when we went to Jakarta for holiday. We always like the hotel, the location is superb, it is near enough to the airport and it is also near to some great eating places in jakarta and of course Taman Anggrek mall, which is one of the biggest malls in Jakarta. Next to the hotel, there is also a small mall called Citraland mall where you can get great CDs and DVDs at cheap price (and they are genuine!). Bear in mind though that all the DVDs are for code 3 region so make sure your DVD can be set to multi region.

The room itself is clean, nothing to boast about but given the price we paid, we can't complain much, but the room is comfy enough for us. Breakfast is average, not much choice available, but service was excellent.

I have stayed at Ciputra three times. In comparison to Le Meridien, Crowne Plaza and Alila where I have also stayed numerous times, Ciputra has the edge in terms of proximity to the airport. The adjoined Ciputra mall is also a welcome convenience. However Ciputra's comparatively smaller room size and relatively poorer service standards let it down. The nearby Alila offers much greater value in my opinion.

I had a three day stopover in Jakarta, and stayed at the Ciputra. Being a westerner, I did have some background concerns about saftey, but never once gave it a thought at this propertry.

The check in process was very smooth, and everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The room was above average, comfortable bed, and everything was in working order. I had a nice view of the pool area, which was quite nice. I ordered room service a couple of times for dinner, and would say they gave five star treatment. A table on (on rollers) brought to the room with linen table cloth, fresh cut flowers, and all the trimmings. The food was very tasty, and well prepared.

I spent some time at the pool. It was very relaxing, and they had a thatched roof bar to the side, with very friendly staff. Nothing but smiles, and good service.

The other bonus to this hotel is the location. Right next to the Citraland Mall, the hotel is connected by indoor hallway. From there you can find many things. Not the least of which are a selelction inexpensive, but very tasty Indonesian fast foods.

I will be back in Jakarta from time to time, and will make this hotel my first choice.
